Mind Clone insanity

Age of Worms Adventure Path

My players were captured in Hall of Harsh Reflections due to the three mimics and one very devious doppelized PC's actions. They were held captive long enough to have their minds copied into mind clones but managed to escape before they were executed. Returning later, they wiped out the rest of the doppelganger infestation with a vengeance.

Long story short; they discovered their mind clones and after finding out what they were promptly came up with the most horrific idea I have ever heard: "Would it be possible to put this in a golem?"

While they have no actual plans to do so, it is a intriguing idea.

In the Frankenstein movies a brain transplanted into a creature
quickly goes native.
A mind clone in any golem will give higher intelligence and
wisdom. Behavior and personality will be as the golem.
Can the player play it true?
How good are they at DMing?
Are you going to use clone madness?
Clone Madness is the idea that two copies of the same person will try to kill each other. I never liked it.
Note that a mind clone is supposed to be a static copy.
Not a thinking mind. More like the pensieve.

This is related, albeit somewhat tangential. In my reborn AoW campaign, the psionic character has threatened, when he gets high enough level, to mind seed the entire party, thus making everyone in the party HIM. I think (hope) he was joking...
