I’m dying to know more about the Striders of Fharlanghn. I read the additional info in the Life’s Bizarre Web enhancement, but it didn’t really provide much in the way of overarching themes for this organization. What, for instance, is their primary purpose? Were they simply brought into existence to fight the Cagewrights? It seems as if they have been around longer than that, and have simply taken the Cagewrights on recently as they became a threat. Has anybody discovered more amidst the various Adventure Path resources, or invented some interesting tenets and basic principles for the organization? Additional info would be most appreciated.
The way I see them, I figure that the Harpers from FR are a fairly good model to base them off of (and would even consider replacing them entire with the Harpers if one were to place Cauldron in FR).
That might even go for your prestige class question elsewhere...sub in the Harper-related PrC(s).
Oh great, now I have to go out and buy the Forgotten Realms campaign! :-)
Thanks Andorax, I'll have to go and thumb through some FR books and see if I can find them.
In issue 104 Demonskar, it doesn mention that they were fighting against the cagewrights, and that after a great battle have loss a good number of members, hence their current need for secrecy in Cualdron. Otherwise it doesn't say what else they do. I figure since 4 of the Striders are Half-elf, that only that race my join them.
Andorax, I looked though FR sourcebook and sure enough, you're very right. The Harpers sound identical to the Striders. I'd still like more on the structure and goals of the group, but the Harpers are a good start.
