See the Magazines on CD-ROM thread.
The short answer is ...Copyright issues.
When the CD came out, reproductions in electronic form wern't covered, so TSR got away with it.
Doesn't look hopeful for the rest of us collectors, though.
**As an aside, you could purchase a copy of Adobe Acrobat and create PDFs for your own personal use, but believe me, it's a lot of work (and da**ed expensive, too). **

I have been wondering about this and I would be happy with a giant index. You know like in the front of every mag. except with maybe a little more description about the article. All of the magazines indexes compiled into one document with the mag. and page number.
No.*
*The world is pretty chaotic, so nothing is truly absolute. Let's just say the stars are not favorably aligned for another archive CD. ;)

Just Google "open CD" or go to http://theopencd.sunsite.dk/ you can download a whole suiet of free office, multimedia, entertainment, internet, and utility software. The programs look and act like name brand versions, it's all been extensively tested and has fairly good documentation. The only thing you don't get is the name, the price tag, and someone to call for support; but how often do you call Microsoft and ask them how to use their software? (The last time I did was when Win95 first came out)
If you don't have a fast connection or a CD writer they'll even snail mail you a copy for $5 and ask you to share it with all your friends.
