Errata on Shatterhorn?

Shackled City Adventure Path

Did it jump out to anyone else in your first perusal of the tenth installment of the Adventure Path that the Shadar Kai (sp?) Cagewright (can't remember his name) is supposedly hiding within a M's Magnificent Mansion? Said NPC (as I recall . . . don't have the mag handy as I write this post) was a Rog5/Ill9 - certainly unable to CAST 7th level arcane spells. I also saw no items to explain this effect, but I did note the Magnificent Mansion was listed in either his spells prepared or spellbook contents as a 5th level spell (and M's Private Sanctum was correctly listed as a 5th level spell instead in the other location). This would be trivial except that the entire encounter setup has this Cagewright (and his slaadi goons) hidden/protected from the PCs in this manner when they reach that area of the Shatterhorn. Other than pretty much converting all of the Rogue levels to arcane caster levels, anybody got an easy fix on this?

D'oh! Now THAT'S an error! Who edits these things? ;-)

Two possible solutions come to mind.

#1: Change the reference to Mordenkainen's magnificent mansion in Xokek's stat block to Mordenkainen's private sanctum. Give him a few scrolls of Mordenkainen's magnificent mansion to use to build his hideout. This isn't a perfect solution, since it means he won't be able to make his mansion every day, but it's better than what's in the encounter now.

or

#2: Use the following stat block instead (note that less rogue levels and more illusionist levels mean his tactics might change a bit):

Xokek, Male shadar-kai illusionist 13/rogue2: CR 16; Medium fey (extraplanar); HD 5d6+5 plus 13d4+13 plus 3; hp 70; Init +7; Spd 30 ft.; AC 18, touch 15, flat-footed 15; Base Atk +8; Grp +8; Atk +12 melee (1d6+1/19–20, +1 short sword) or +13 ranged (1d6/×3, masterwork shortbow); Full Atk +12/+7 melee (1d6+1/19–20, +1 short sword) or +12/+7 ranged (1d6/×3, masterwork shortbow); SA sneak attack +1d6, spells; SQ displacement (50% miss chance), evasion, hide in plain sight, shadow curse, superior low-light vision, toad familiar, trapfinding; AL CE; SV Fort +5, Ref +13, Will +10; Str 10, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 17, Wis 9, Cha 13; Fiend Folio 150.
Hide in Plain Sight (Su): Xokek can use the Hide skill even while being observed, as long as Xokek is not illuminated by natural daylight, the daylight spell, or a similar magic light. He can hide himself from view in the open without having anything to actually hide behind.
Shadow Curse (Su): Any time Xokek is stunned, dazed, staggered, or unconscious (other than from natural sleep), he must make a successful Will save (DC 15) or gain a negative level. The negative level cannot be removed until he returns to the Plane of Shadow and transfixes his soul to his body again with a greater restoration spell. On the Material Plane, he must use a wish or miracle spell to restore his soul. When afflicted with the shadow curse, Xokek cannot be raised from the dead or resurrected, and cannot gain experience. On the Plane of Shadow, Xokek ameliorates the effects of the shadow curse and suffers no ill effects; however, if he leaves the plane without restoring his soul, the shadow curse returns. Xokek does not wear a gal-ralan (a magic armband many shadar-kai wear to protect themselves from the shadow curse, but at the cost of a point of Constitution).
Superior Low-Light Vision (Ex): Xokek can see four times as far as a human in low-light conditions.

Skills: Balance +5, Concentration +17, Hide +14 (+24 in shadowy light), Jump +2, Knowledge (arcana) +16, Knowledge (dungeoneering) +16, Knowledge (the planes) +16, Listen +9, Move Silently +14, Search +9, Spellcraft +19, Spot +9, Survival +5, Tumble +14.

Thanks for the legwork . . . I'll use option #2 with the intended change of replacing the 7th level listings of "Mordenkainen's private sanctum" with "Mordenkainen's magnificent mansion".

Yeah. That Mordenkainen needs to start naming his spells so that I can somehow remember which one is which.
