A solid Dungeon

4/5

GOOD:
There are two dungeon levels that connect to each other on this flip-mat: the first being the one with the water on it (this side is also one side of the flip-mat included with the "Beginner Box") and the other one the level directly below it.
Side A has 11 areas, Side B has 14. All are generic but distinct enough to be used for different purposes.

BAD:
If side A (with the water) would have been moved one square to the right, each room section of the dungeon would be on it´s own folded oiece of the map and be fully accessible when folded the right way. This way, a small portion of each room can be seen.
Side B (two wells) is mostly arranged better, but has too much black areas.

UGLY: -

I bought this for €12,50 from amazon.de two days ago.

PFS intro II must have!

5/5

I run the PFS Intro series all the time and when I come to number two and can just whip out this map and the whole session is taken care of. Such a time saver and my players love it.

Great art and more

5/5

This map is excellent. You could run an entire dungeon crawl with this one map (both sides).

Great detail and outstanding cartography. I highly recommend this product!

missed that thanks!

I look forward to seeing this and other new dungeon, crypt, sewer, or catacomb -style maps; these are always handy to have around, and make great new game-boards for quick dungeon-crawl boardgames like HeroQuest and so on.

What distinguishes a haunted dungeon from a regular one?

Ooo ... I'll be keeping an eye out for this one :)

Is it bad that I imagine Wes with his "spooky" hand gesturing as I read that?

And this is why I decided to double my map subscription. I got tired of having to ditch all the figs, flip the map, and then put them all back on again ...

Works out great for the recent village square one, too - I'm using both backs (with just the cobblestone paths) as a basis for a ruined city, and using all those nice ruins map packs on top of it.

Hurray - it looks like the sample pictures have been posted, and they look fantastic!

A lot of my reviews for other Flip-Mat dungeon and cavern products have been like either "looks beautiful, but too crowded" or "looks beautiful but too spacious", but from what I can see of the sample pictures, the Haunted Dungeon "looks beautiful, and is juuuuuust right!"

Great job :)

I've been busy going through the maps on offer, and something I thought I should mention regarding the Haunted Dungeon: I would very much appreciate if such flipmaps were "fully" colored in - rather than the black splotches that are shown between rooms and corridors. Somehow it detracts from the overall presentation, and in a few select cases it is nice to have the grid fully represented in all areas including a "dark stone" area that is currently just plain black.

I guess it saves a little some money during production - but it is a consideration for me in purchasing; I'd rather have a fully colored flipmat :)

You mean you want the inside of walls grid-ed? I think you'll be in the vast minority.

I would get this except one of the sides is included in the beginner box, which i have.

Why do you keep making new scenarios/quests that use out of print maps? GRR.

The side with the water isn't out of print.

You can get it with the Beginner Box.

The other side can be drawn in 10 minutes. ;-)
