Desaad is a useful (and inexpensive) support piece. Set him at the edge of a battle and use his Outwit to turn off whichever character’s power is giving you the most hassle. If he has to attack, use his Energy Explosion and try to set up a chain reaction of damage among adjacent figures. Finally, if Desaad takes more than 3 clicks of damage, his Support ability kicks in, enabling him to heal other friendly units.
