95% of the Flip-Mats are great, 50% of the Map-Packs are...

32 (out of 69) Flip-Mats are sold out, 43 if you count the (now available again) Flip-Mat Classics.

27 (out of 66) Map-Packs are sold out.

I like almost every Flip-Mat i have (about 50) and regularyly use about half of them.
I own 12 Map-Packs and have used 4 so far.
The modular nature of the Map-Packs make them versatile in theory, but in reality they are of limited use because they are either too narrow or you don´t have (enough of) the piece you need.
There are some that are very useful (like the individual boat & ship ones, mines, sewer, ice caverns and some others), but a lot of them would make more sense as Flip-Mats.

Still a great product line that makes it a lot easier for the GM.

Gamesmastery mappacks are great for tabletop RPGs. Some sets are more location specific such as Haunted Mansion, whilst other sets are more versatile and can be set up in a number of different ways. They can be combined easily, for example I laid out an entire town from various sets including slums, shops, town, graveyard and others. As a DM the sets often give me inspiration when designing scenarios and combat encounters. It would be great for Pazio to produce more generic terrain sets, like Forest, with interesting and/or difficult terrain features, such as various planar terrain, desert, broken lands, hills etc, and a set of castle walls or a keep set for castle/keep scenarios. Recently purchased Lost Island which is good as ever, but my favorite set is Ruins, the artwork and design is very good.

Already don't know how I lived without these...

Some of you may know, I claim to be an "old school" guy. I have used everything from graph paper to laminated dress cutting boards, to battlemats. I've started to get these maps (both Packs and Flip) and I can't believe it took me this long to use them! Very versatile (with a little imagination) and endlessly repeatable. We've had several waterfront battles in our Kingmaker campaign, and the players love them!

These maps bring a game to life and Make a GM's life easy.

It's nice to not to have to draw every facet of an adventure.

The most useful set of maps for me is the boats and the shop fronts. Whilst having the one ship shown with the levels is great. For ship-to-ship combat especially with moving vessels, winds, realism and adding drama (as they drift apart), nothing beats being able to move the boats themselves instead of drawing outlines on your own grid. You can show the vessel moving in.

I purchase the pdf's; print off the required vessel, laminate and then cut to the shape that suits the vessel. Then with a ocean flip-mat you then have a really enjoyable encounter.

As for the Shops - it's a quality touch that the shops floor plans are identical to some of the flip maps of the city streets.

These maps are a great tool at convention play; for the speed they offer during a session and they look great in your home game as you can 'give' your players the boat they purchase.

Another great map!

I have been scoring these maps for years. The first one I bought was the City Square: http://paizo.com/products/btpy8ot2?GameMastery-FlipMat-City-Square

The quality on cartography has only improved. The early maps are great and useful but the illustration left much to be desired. This new map is an example of how GameMastery has stepped up their game.

Even if you don't use this as a pirate ship boarding a merchant vessel, you can use it for a PC ship throughout a campaign. Highly recommend this one.
