Can Kobold Count?
It might seem that a quarterly would ship four issues a year, but no! Kobold Quarterly ships its first Annual with this issue, which includes:
- The Truth about Tieflings by their creator, David "Zeb" Cook
- New Blood Magic
- Codes of Conduct for Paladins
- Fortunetelling in Zobeck
- ...and an interview with designer Monte Cook!
Yes, it’s another astonishing issue, and that’s not even mentioning the Ecology article—you’ll never believe this one—and the start of the new map feature, the Alchemist’s Lair.
The best (ok, only) magazine for the world's most popular roleplaying game keeps offering new surprises and continues to offer a great bargain for serious gamers.

What can I say? I read the PDF today, and once again I was floored. I don't know if Wolfgang and company have some magic brain-reading doohickey there, but two of the main articles were dealing with things I was debating on using in my games! How does he do that? I'm just going to reiterate ... subscribe to this magazine. If you loved Dragon, this IS its spiritual successor. No holds barred. I will subscribe to this magazine until I die (or it goes 4E). It's that good.

Thanks, Eyebite! I'm very pleased with this one, I must say. And subscribers get a free 4th edition adventure with this issue.

Wolfgang, just so you know, I've been getting spammed w/ the email about this, including the links to pdf versions. You might want to look into that. I think I'm up to about 7 emails, w/ the last 6 completely identical.
