Its nice to know that the hundreds of dollars I have sank into Paizo products has paid off. 4th Ed. ended up being terrible and killed 3.5, yet here comes Paizo to the rescue. From the new stuff for the core classes to simplifying grapple, etc, the new PFRPG is a natural evolution of the game. Paizo will continue to get my money and I hope support for their products grow. Down with WotC, long live Paizo, the true inheritors of DnD.
Exceeded my expectations. The quality and content is simply fantastic. Well done everyone.
The Pathfinder core rulebook has created the perfect balance between the broken rules of 3.5 to the bland generic 4.0.
The customization for characters is still there. You can create the character YOU WANT, vs what you are pigeonholed into playing. You can have the druid tank, the rogue crime lord, anything you want to make, you can.
Never has doing a full 20 levels of a core class been so tempting until Pathfinder. The core classes are so well fleshed out you will almost not even want to think of a prestige class.
The layout of the book and the amount of content is jam packed in this hefty tome. It is far more impressive than anything ever produced by the larger brands. Thank you very much Paizo, I will be playing this for the remainder of my D&D Career :)
This book has taken everything I disliked about 3.5, from the emphasis on Prestige Classes that ended up being necessary to be viable at end-game, to the broken and ridiculous builds that were possible (chain fighter, for example) and fixed 95% of those problems.
Single-class characters have never been so viable, and the only class that I thought could use more work was the Bard. Every other class got some update or new set of features that blew me away.
Production value is beautiful, and it's a veritable tome. My 4th edition books are completely dwarfed by this thing. Thank you Paizo.
Paizo has done a great job. I love the artwork. The More I read the book the more I want get a game going soon.
Pathfinder has given my favorite hobby an excellent face lift. Not only are most of the rules changes and improvements awesome, but the layout and art of the book is simply excellent.
Can't say enough how impressed I am with this book. Absolutely fantastic value.
Pathfinder RPG is a solid continuation of D&D 3.5. The biggest differences are the tweaking of some badly designed mechanics (I'm looking at you Grappling), simplification of buying skills (I much prefer this new system), and a whole lot of new bells & whistles in the form of expanded class options and filled in levels. Many ideas only touched upon in 3.5 get the royal treatment such as the idea of bloodlines for the sorcerer.
One area of concern I had was the Monk. At first glance it looked like nothing special had been done for it besides a small number of changes. But those changes combined with the new Combat Manuever system added up to a significant increase in power. I ended up happy with what I saw when I made some example characters. Go Monk!
I wasn't involved in the Alpha and Beta Testing, but I kept abreast to what info was out in public, and listen eagerly, to those inside sources, to what they permitted themselce to say.
But I saw the finished the product, I saw it first, at a airport, while I was on my way to Gen Con. someone had a copy with them, so I surveyed sparingly through some pages.
I liked very much to what I saw...
Then at Gen Con 2009, I bought my own (x2), and again, I scanned sparingly. Then at home later, I read...50 percent.
Everyone at Pazio, have done an EXCELLENT job, staff, outside consultants and testers.
Thank you.
Fatastic piece of work.
The Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook is everything I always hoped D&D 4E would be, but failed to.
PFRPG is loyal to the roots of the game and to the players who have carried it forth for so many years.
It is obvious that the game's designers love and respect the game as much as the fans do.
It brings a fresh breath of life to the game and fixes the vast majority of problems of D&D.
The quality of the book is impecable and its sheer size is justifies its price. 578 pages - all full of relevant and thoughtthrough material.
There are unfortunately a number of small typos and editorial glitches, but nothing that would detract significantly from my enjoinment of the book.
I look forward to implementing these roles in my PF AP.

Thank you Paizo! You have made an old (style) gamer very happy today! I was dreading the possibility of me having to get out of fantasy roleplaying altogether once i ran out of the published material I had (have no real interest in learning a whole new system). You have just saved my game and ensured a very loyal customer for years to come. I look forward to the new system and have just placed an order for the new book!

This is just too awesome. I saw the announcement after coming home from gaming last night and was thrilled. Even more excited this morning! I've preordered this and the beta hardcopy as well.
Good luck Paizo!
