Fantastic Heroes Special is an adjunct and preview to our latest book, Fantastic Creatures Special. In order to get the most out of a book of fantasy monsters, you need fantasy heroes, right? The archetypes are presented in roughly two tiers. The PL 8 archetypes are representative of adventurers from mainstream fantay fiction. They are equivalent to seasoned heroes from a typical fantasy role-playing campaign. They've probably slain a dragon or two. The PL 10 archetypes are not only more powerful, but are based more around powers than skills. Those archetypes possess unusual personal gifts and come equipped with powerful magical items. They can go toe to toe with other super-heroes, because that's what they are! Enjoy, with our compliments.
