I don't collect/trade miniatures but I do use them for roleplaying. This one, though nicely detailed and certainly useful, is kinda a yawner. He's so fragile on his feet (actually mine arrived completely bent onto his back - he's never fully recovered) and thin (doggy slimfast?) that he just comes off as wimpy. No intimidation despite his pose (his tentative expression doesn't help). The only thing that really keeps him from being a complete loss is the usefulness of this piece (and my own personal bias - I really like gnolls!). This miniature will probably see plenty of use but don't expect any "wow"s to come along with him. All he can do is "sit" and "stay".
