Flip-Mats are constructed of durable laminated card stock (~70 lb paper—comparable to that of a restaurant menu). They measure 24" by 30", and quickly and conveniently fold down to 8" by 10" (slightly smaller than a sheet of notebook paper). The 1" grid extends fully to the edge of the maps for a full 720 square inches of usable area.

First of all, the theatre was perfect for a group I had out to stop a serial killer from taking out one of the theatre patrons (although I had to use every mini and every chess piece I could find to fill the seats).
Secondly, that simple wooden floor on the opposite side? EXACTLY what I've been looking for in prep for my next game- a warehouse double-cross battle. Need an empty interior floor space, and couldn't find one until I flipped my map! Awesome!
After needing to draw out this stupid theater twice in various modules/APs I've played in I broke down and bought the map. Frankly it, like all flip mat products, are exactly as good as you expect them to be. The only downside is that the alternate side has nothing other than plain wood slatted floors. Not worthless, but it certainly could have been much more interesting or hard-to-draw.
This flip-mat is fantastic. In a campaign with three bards, it allows me to set up a number of different scenarios and events.
The include of individual seats for the audience and the rooms backstage make this map very useful and detailed.
The only complaints that I have are that the side boxes only seat two people each (I would like to get an assassin inside one), and the reverse side is essentially blank.
The theater is absolutely gorgeous, but as most flip-maps, the other side just plain sucks! It's all wooden floor, nothing else. If you need ideas, maybe a warehouse with rafters and boxes. I know that i can always draw on the map, but why put so many effort on the artwork of one side and nothing on the other?
