Alexia isn't evil—She's just misunderstood

She was an child when she saw her mother executed for the crime of witchcraft. She only wants to have her mother back. Is that so wrong? However, sometimes if you want to get something done, you have to knock down a city with a horde of undead.

The Witchfire Trilogy provides the perfect entry point to the popular Iron Kingdoms campaign setting. This standalone campaign adventure for characters of levels 1–7 contains monsters, locals, magical creations, firearms, and intriguing characters to introduce the players to western Immoren.

The Witchfire Trilogy Collected Edition brings together the original award-winning trilogy of The Longest Night, Shadow of the Exile, and The Legion of Lost Souls, updates them to the 3.5 revision rules, and includes to bridge adventures to keep players adventuring in and around Corvis, the City of Ghosts.

Participate in the historical events surrounding a psychotic young sorceress obsessed with vengeance, a malevolent deposed king and his dark plan, an ancient legend, and the evil necromantic sword at the center of it all—the Witchfire.

These are the times when heroes are made.

A hard one to rate...

I gave this one only three stars (it was almost a 4!) mostly because it was the adventure I started my group on to introduce us all to the Iron Kingdoms and, as one of my Players put it; "It still feels too much like D&D". While the storyline is great (we only made it through the first section actually) and the characters and plot seemed fun (the villain is a GREAT concept!), it relies too much on the GM to build the feel of the world - something that a GM who was experienced with the IK would do well but for beginners it was hard to bring across the feel of the IK to my group when we started with this. I am fully planning to re-run it at some point when my group has more IK experience and knows the setting more and I'm sure that my opinion will waver back up to at least 4 stars (probably even 5 cause the premise of the adventure ROCKS!), but I can't in good conscience recommend this to any GM who is looking for an Iron Kingdoms introduction adventure.
