I have been searching for a replacement world/campaign in which to play once the 4th ed transition took place. This game exceeds my expectations and it brings back the nostalgia of my early gaming days (back in the ol' 80's).
Thank you, very, very, very, very, very, you get the point... much!
I fall into the camp as a person who actually likes 4e & PFRPG. That being said, This product really has me excited. I get to use all of my 3.Xe material that I have around. The streamlined skills are something I have been houseruling for years. The CMB is another sweet spot. This is overall, is a VERY well designed ruleset. Especially true for a Beta Playtest. I wish I could give it 6 out of 5 stars, lol.
Can I buy the print hardcover product in other nation other then USA? E.g. in Italy?
Searching through the world wide web, one can stumble across hundreds (or at least a few dozens) of discussions. It seems that there are 2 major groups of people out there, those that are pro 4E, and those that are pro Pathfinder RPG (with a few who like both also). To me it seems that if pro 4E and pro PF would meet, they would go at each other with words and examples of "how bad", or how "un-D&D-Like" the others favorite is. I think that is to bad and really not necessary. 4E is a development from 3.5 up to something new, focusing on younger Gamers, whereas Pathfinder RPG focuses on 3.5 with taking out some bad spots and irritating rules, but staying in the 3.x kind of game, thus serving those that are not interested in 4E. Thus, with both games on the market, there is something to keep each happy.
For me, Pathfinder RPG is my System of choice. It is still the D&D that I know and have come to love for the last 30 Years. 4E is not to our liking, and thus, with a sad feeling, we kept playing 3.5, knowing that our era of playing pur favorite game will come to pass as soon as the last 3.5 Book/Module has left the shelves of our favorite store). WRONG
With Pathfinder the Skills have been streamlined, Feats have been worked over and playing one of the standard classes will be fun again. With the new Powers given to the standard classes, one does not have to change to a Prestige Class (prematurely)to enjoy their Character.
The Campaign Setting is High Quality and is deserving to be called Heir to the FR or even Greyhawk. Pathfinder RPG will be the Game for my friends and me, and we are happy that our Roleplaying Days with or favorite Game are not coming to an end. Be it called AD&D, D&D3.5 or Pathfinder RPG, our journey goes on. Thank you Paizo for hopefully 30 more years of gaming.
My group has been relying on black-and-white printouts of the PDF or having it open on laptops, and I decided it was high time to invest the cash and procure the print edition. I'm so glad I did! It's a fantastic revision to 3.5, and I love the quality of the softcover book. I figure it will stand up to abuse for at least another 12 months, when I can buy the hardcover!

As a fan of the 3.5 system I was amazed and ecstatic to find the Pathfinder RPG. It fixes many of the flaws with the 3.5 system and its only in Beta, which makes me salivate for the final product! I am also happy to find a small company that is trusting enough in its clientele to allow us to help make the product the best it can be by giving us a chance to play test the game before the final version!
First off, before I get started: start downloading the PDF. Its free, after all.
If you want to play D&D, this is the way to do it. A lot of little things are cleared up, but I think the strongest point is the work done on classes. Balance may not be perfect, but they're all far more interesting than in 3.5 or 4.0.
Suffice it to say, we got the PDF first. But my playgroup happily sprung for two hard copies. That's how good this game is.
3.5 has just become the ultimate role playing game out there. Who did it, Wizards? No this company that deeply cares about gaming and gamers to the point of saving our favorite game from the dustbin. Thank you Paizo for the best game of 2008.
Buy the book and save yourself the printing ink used to do it yourself. This full color rule book is like having a players handbook and game masters guide all in one. improvements have been made on the 3.5 material from the beginning of the players part starting with abilities, and all the way through races, classes, feats, skills, equipment, description, the real meat comes in with a hundred and fifty pages devoted to combat, magic, and spells. The DM will love the additional rules that come after running the game that is full of juicy bits of world fleshing out and populate with the NPCs in the next chapter and stoke the treasure with new magic item rules.
Download the free pdf then buy this print edition. You'll be glad you did.
Pathfinder RPG basically is a reprint of the D&D 3.5 rules with a few added tweaks and fixes to issues the fans of the game often complained about.
It overall is an excellent Beta game which adds flavor and playability to the original rules while keeping its feel and versatility intact.
I can't recommend having a look at these rules enough. Playtest the crap out of them and share your feedback on the Paizo message boards!

Got it! Should have my softcover next week.
What is the best way to point out typos, etc? My eye catches these things on their own and I'd like to help the editing process for the final edition.
eg. p79 Natural Spell benefit should read Cast, not Case
Yes I'm weird, but I'm willing to let my weirdness serve some good. Especially since I'll be devouring the Beta over the next days.
