I downloaded this to see what the Pathfinder Society was all about and it more than lived up to my expectations. This coupled with the find a game near you feature of the PF Society page are all you need to take your PF CRB and get started. There are two games located not far from where I live and I am excited about participating.

It's not bad but

Wel, i love several of the ideas in this book, however it looses two stars for me because it doesn't do what it says it will... provide you with everything you need to bring your very own pathfinder character to life.

Where's the intro on what pathfinder is?
Where's the explanation of how exactly it connects to 3.5E?
There are a host of questions i have still after reading this... so it fails to deliver what it promises for me.

It's a good read and there are some very interesting things in there, but it is not thé guide to pathfinder society organized play it should be ... and that's a shame.

I was just looking at this and on page 28 the text in the left column seems to disappear into the picture, words are cut off and can't be read.

What pdf reader and OS are you using? This sounds like the same issue a number of people have had recently due to differing software.

I think there is a problem with that page, which we'll fix on Monday.

Yeah, I just discovered that problem as well. Still, I'll be digesting the previous 27 previous pages of cool, interesting rules until Monday, at least - I'll be back Monday, then, to read over those last four paragraphs before the "Good Luck" section.

Sadly, your sample monk is incorrect on at least two counts - First level monks have a +0 attack bonus, so they can't take Weapon Focus (it requires a +1 attack bonus) and monks have to be lawful, so the sample character can't be Neutral Good. Unless these are rules you're planning to throw out? (*hopeful*)
