0one's Blueprints: The Ruined Town—Castle Falconflight PDF
0one Games
Once the magnificent residence of the Town Lord, the castle is the hiding place for a group of marauders led by Graunth Obadai "The Merciless," a towering half-orc who is said to have demon blood in his veins. Graunth is often out of the castle to maraud the countryside. A small garrison of cutthroats is always left in the castle, surveying the fabled treasure amassed by the band.
Nobody knows the true name of Graunth Obadai "The Merciless.” It is said he took the name of the evil warlord who sacked the Ruined Town in the past after making a strange discovery in the dungeons of Castle Falconflight. People say the bandit took that feared name to provoke terror in the countryside, but a few say the half-orc retrieved a lost artifact in the dungeon of the castle and that after the discovery he was changed...
This product expands on a location found in 0one's Blueprints: The Ruined Town.
Features:
- "Rule the Dungeon" feature
- Enhanced customization (doors and furniture are separate, for example)
- Alternative hexagonal grid available
- "North" mark available and orientable
- Master control panel allows you to control all the maps at once
- Buttons for printing only blue maps or black and white maps
- NOTE: You must use Adobe Acrobat 6+ in order to use all the features of this product
The Blueprints product line offers you old-fashioned blueprint-style maps for your adventures and campaigns. Each map comes in a blueprint version and a standard black-and-white version. The maps are all vector-based for maximum print resolution. Despite their old-fashioned appearance, each map offers some degree of customization, using PDF technology at its best. A button (which will not be printed) on each map allows you to turn the grid on and off, eliminate the room numbers, fill in walls, hide doors and furniture, and many other options, depending on the map. Each 0one's Blueprints product features a classic fantasy adventure location: a dungeon, a keep, a temple complex, a thieves' guild and so on. You can use these maps as reference to build your own adventures or simply have them at hand in case your players go in an unexpected direction during the campaign.
While offering you the best quality, these products are really inexpensive.

On the face of it, this seems to be a pretty standard castle, square with a tower at each corner and a free-standing central keep. Only then you notice the door's been sealed up...
Situated in 0one's Ruined Town complex, a short backstory - linking in with those provided for other locations - is provided to explain why and detail who is holed up in there. Or of course you can do your own thing with the map provided. This shows a ground floor, two upper levels and the roof, as well as small underground area called a dungeon... more of a cellar really, but maybe this is real estate agent speak, given that it's a castle!
To stick with agent-speak, this one is a bit of a 'doer-upper' with several rather battered walls and a roof that definatly lets in the rain. However it is still habitable and if you choose to display it, there's a fair bit of furniture. Likewise you can decide whether or not to have a grid overlay, a compass rose and so on.
The 'dungeon' includes storage space as well as cells and an intriguing passage out to street level - which may be a sneaky way in if wall-climbing does not appeal.
Overall it is a nice castle, incorporating signs of neglect and decay. Perhaps once they've cleared it out, your characters will settle down to a bit of construction work to make it their own!
