The complete guide for building Forgotten Realms characters!
Welcome to Faerûn, a land of amazing magic, terrifying monsters, ancient ruins, and hidden wonders. The world has changed since the Spellplague, and from this arcane crucible have emerged shining kingdoms, tyrannical empires, mighty heroes, and monster-infested dungeons.
The Forgotten Realms Player's Guide presents this changed world from the point of view of the adventurers exploring it. This product includes everything a player needs to create his character for a D&D campaign in the Forgotten Realms setting, including new feats, new character powers, new paragon paths and epic destinies, and even a brand-new character class never before seen in D&D: the swordmage!

I see this book as pathetic compared to the 3.5 FRPG. This book lacks so much in both crunchy bits and fluffiness. It smothers flavor and crisp texture with too much rough fiber. It is sadly just a piece of crap. But don't worry: 4.5 edition is already underway!
I've listened to both sides of the debate with the new edition, particularly for FR, and for those that enjoy what's been changed, and look forward to the further fleshing-out of this new rendition of a classic setting, this book is definitely worth the money. The new class information is excellent, especially the introduction of the Swordmage class, and the fluff itself is a perfect start for budding and experienced FR players alike in this new age of the game.
An excellent resource for anyone playing 4e, due to it's valuable character crunch, and an even better resource for Forgotten Realms Players!
Save your money. There are tons of gaming products out there far more worth your hard earned cash. That's all I will say on that matter.
Love this book, filled with more character options and with stats on two new races and a new class it's worth picking up....
