This is the ultra-rare first issue of The Duelist, the official Magic: the Gathering magazine produced by Wizards of the Coast. The first issue, published in early 1994, had an extremely small print run because Wizards didn't know how it would fare in the marketplace. Thus, it is one of the most sought-after Magic collectibles ever produced. This baby is so rare that Wizards of the Coast used to sell color photocopies as part of its back issue sales.
We have found a small stash of mint condition copies of this rare piece of Magic: The Gathering history. Coming in at 52 full-color pages, there is a lot of Magic lore to uncover in these pages.
