I was unsure of how to feel when i first heard about the Pathfinder PPM. The digital shots of the miniatures gave alot of promises but the on the other hand i have my experiences with Wizkids Mage Knight miniatures (who has some nice sculpts but really horrible paintjobs).

Ezren (3/5)
I dislike the pose and the choice to make the staff metallic. The flesh paint is not precise between the neck and hair which makes the neck look rather bloated. The cloak is nicely detailed and the rest of the miniature is slightly better than what you would expect from a PPM.

Kyra (4/5)
The cloak is really superb, may more detailed than you would expect from a PPM. Sadly the face lacks depth which makes Kyra look abit like a manikin. Her her armor could have been in a more exciting color as well.

Merisiel (1/5)
This is by far the worst of the miniatures, to my greatest disappointment. I was looking forward to this one but it really fails to deliver. The sculpt lacks quite alot of detail which means that it has to be painted on. And it goes without saying that with mass produced painted miniatures that's not going to yield a good result. A huge disappointment.

Valeros (4/5)
A solid fighter miniature. The armor looks good and the sculpt is resonably detailed. My only concern would be the face, which like Kyra is abit shallow (although not as much as Kyra). The paintjob on the face leaves Valeros looking quite dim.

All and all the quality is resonable for the price of the product. The good makes up for the bad.

I am really happy with these 4 minis. I rate it 4.5 out of 5. Minus a half because the cleric is holding a holy symbol. How about a shield with holy symbol on it!

Bought this over the holiday and I have to say that the detail and paint job on them are very good for pre-painted plastic miniatures. Way better than WOTC plastic minis! Also, these minis' weapons aren't as "floppy" or bendable when compared to WOTC plastic minis as well! I don't regret buying them!!

My only complaint is that packaging that these minis come in is extremely large for just 4 minis for they come in a big plastic box-like container. Since this plastic container is a #3 for recycling purposes, most recycling centers will not accept it and it will be just tossed in the trash. Very wasteful. I think the packaging could be more efficient size-wise and maybe being made of a plastic (#1 or #2) that is easier for people to recycle.

THESE MINIS ARE AWESOME!!!

I just picked up this pack from my FLGS today. These minis are, in my estimation waaaaay better than many of the PPMs I've gotten from other distributors. They are much more detailed, the plastic is more rigid, so Kyra's sword doesn't flop over, and Ezren's staff stays right where it should. Also, the detail of the painting is amazing. I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of this line of PPMs from Paizo and Wizkids.

I received them a couple of days ago and I must say I just love them. The detail is amazing and the sculpture is great. For now they're on display, until I get a change to use them.

I have nothing but praise to say about them. Every single one of them shattered my expectations.

These sculpts are pretty decent, paint jobs are well done, even if the color schemes are a little flat.

I finally got my hands on mine. These are way better than I can paint (and I can't say that about any other PPM I have seen). I do have a couple of comments though:

Meri - She looks awesome. Mine came out great.

Valeros - His ear is a big bloch with way too much paint. There is a minor area where his blue glove bled onto his sword.

Ezren: The trim here could use some work. It smeared in a couple places and in a few others failed to take. I really like him though, and it is about the quality I get doing it by hand. I'm not sure if the paint on his face is supposed to be textured or if it is a defect, but it makes it look awesome. The bent arm has some bleed from the shirt onto the forearm, which is hard to notice.

Kyra (my favorite of the sculpts): I don't know if I got just got a dud here or what, but this one has numberous flaws. There blue cloak bleeds onto the yellow in at least 4 places (both armpts left leg, and in the rear). The trim, one of the most distinct and awesome parts of the mini, has some major smudges. The chain mail lacks any texture, which looks like the paint is on too thick, so I can't use a wash to make it pop like I hoped. Both arms have bleed from the gauntlets. And small there is a bubble at the crease of sword arm in the back, where the sleeve meets the tunic. - Despite all this, it is still one of the best PPM I have ever seen.

Personally, I like the foot pads. They will allow me to better add basing or rebase them. They also add a lot of stability to the mini and I don't feel like I will break their feet off (which I have done to some other PPM acidentally).

The flexibility of these minis is awesome. Unlike D&D minis, they are made from a harder plastic that will resist bending and help prevent warped pieces. The smaller areas though, like the swords and arms, are still somewhat flexible. I expect these to hold up well

I really am glad these have become available. A big leap ahead of most of the figs churned out by WOTC for DDM
the folks at the new WIZKIDS shop did a some nice work

These models are really neat, the level of detail is a step beyond what I've come to expect of DDM figures both in terms of the sculpt and the paint steps. The reaper sculpts are a bit better in my opinion but as prepaints these set a new standard.
