This expanded edition of Zombies!!! features updated and revised rules, plus gut-wrenching new art on Map tiles and Event cards for greater visual impact, as well as new "Red Heart" Tokens and a brand-new Female Zombie figure!
Zombies!!! puts you in the middle of the action as
you try to escape the ever-advancing zombie hoard.
Players must use a combination of wits and brawn
to be the first to the heliport and certain escape.
The only problems are that the zombies are everywhere,
they appear to be very hungry and your opponents
would really prefer you didn't escape.
Im not exactly into all the horror genre and stuff like that but a buddy of mine introduced me to the Zombies!!! game a few years back and it was strangely engaging. Its kind of like how Mario is with the Nintendo system. You cant really explain why its fun, it just is!
If you cannot get enough of zombies or at least cheesy undead humor this game is for you. The rules are fairly straightforward and easy with minimal points of confusion.
Basically, players attempt to be the first to rack up a total of 25 zombies in order to win the game while dodging the schemes and actions of other players. A player devoured by zombies loses half of his/her zombie count, all of his/her equipment, and starts back in the center of town with new health and ammo tokens.
The town/board is created by playing map tiles from a deck each turn that consist of roads, stores, and other landmarks. A separate deck of playing cards is used to place zombies on the board, equip players, and harm opponents.
The final map tile is a helicopter pad that provides an optional end to the game in the case that nobody seems to be able to amass 25 zombie kills. The first person who makes it to the center of the pad first wins!
This game is up to 6 players, with more players tending to make the game more interesting. This is an excellent game to use to introduce people to gaming due to its simple rules and campy, spoofy humor as well as its high fun factor. It also has 3 stand-alone expansions as well as one expansion consisting of extra playing cards to make things more interesting.
