Pathfinder Society Scenario #18: The Trouble with Secrets (OGL) PDF
Paizo Publishing, LLC
Decades ago, an Osiriani Pathfinder named Bossell locked his transformed lover in the vaults beneath the Sothis Pathfinder Lodge. He then vowed that no one would ever discover his secret shame. The old and senile Bossell now relies on his assistant Fendel for everything, and the hapless assistant has disapeared into the vaults after reading his master's journal. You've been sent beneath the Lodge to destroy whatever it is that Bossell's lover has become—will you survive his secret or find yourself transformed as well?

Ooh, where to begin? A subpar dungeon crawl. Monsters with "neener-neener" tactics and abilities and a final encounter which is simply overwhelming due to the boss creature's à la carte menu of "you die" abilities.
If this were in print it wouldn't be worth the paper it'd be printed on.
"Hi, I'm your venture-captain. We have a rat problem in our basement. Go kill everything! Also our senile janitor says there's an ancient evil down there, so be careful!"
And that sums it up. The senile Bossell is a stupid excuse for this "plot". The combats are either too easy, tedious, deadly, or downright superlethal. I honestly don't have anything good to say about this scenario.
If you like mindless dungeon crawling with no roleplaying, no plot, and no idea, this is the scenario for you.
When I ran this for a table it seemed pretty rough. Too many story elements didn't make sense and one thing on the map still baffles me. If your players actually try and figure out mysteries don't run this one. Most of my prep time was spent repairing holes and filling gaps. It ran well at the table with players challenged by the settings as much as the monsters.
As I say in many post don't play up in PFS scenarios or you may get a TPK. No matter how easy the first few fights go resist the urge.
I enjoyed playing this scenario. Reminds me of watching the Saturday afternoon creep show episodes as a child. It features some frightening opponents and will give your players a puckering sensation when they realize what they’ve gotten into. The plot is straightforward and could be prepped in very little time if a GM needs a side quest. I felt there were some holes in it but they can be overlooked due to the theme of the scenario: staying alive. The scenario has a macabre edge to it that lingers afterward. Players will start out believing “We got it trapped down here” when it’s actually the other way around. Campaign setting flavor is mild, this scenario could take place anywhere. Faction missions are typically simple but one can be failed by careless players. I also want to compliment the maps, which were simple but fun to draw out.
