I just received my first delivery of my Pathfinder Role Playing Game Ongoing Subscription. I chose the Ultimate Combat book as my initial product.
While I was a little apprehensive to sign up for the Ongoing Subscription, for something like hardcover books, and game aids, my uncertainties were alleviated as I got to looking at all of the details I could insert into my campaigns by having a couple of cool prestige classes, like the Gunslinger and the Ninja, plus variant rules such as Armor as Damage Resistance, and Called Shots, not to mention the additional skills, feats and weapons that are available for use.
The price of each shipment might seem prohibitive at first, and it does vary from product to product, so that is something to keep in mind if you are on a tight budget, but all that said, having a book delivered to your door, and having a free pdf of that book available from Paizo.com is a significant savings in itself, if you consider travel and time as factors. The pdf files are invaluable to me as a GM, as I can cut and paste sections of whatever books I need right into a word document for ease in reference when I am running a game, and not have to lookup the information in session.
One thing that I did learn is that if there is an upcoming product that you do not want from the ongoing subscription, you may stop it at any time, and start it back up again to receive the next product.
