@Krypter: You didn't notice the artist commentary on every single comic in this book, as well as a forward, previously unpublished comics, and a handful of Mt. Zogon strips near the end?

Did you even look at this product?

Reviewer: Krypter

I love Zogonia's humour and the "woodblock" illustration style used throughout the series, but I was a little disappointed with the no-frills presentation of this book. Stranger still, half of the comics seem to be hand-printed while the other half seem to be computer-generated. I'm not sure why that is, but the author seems to have neglected an opportunity to add interesting content, or even commentary, about his work.

In other words, there's nothing new here if you've already read the comic in the magazines and on the website, which is a pity because the Downer comic book managed to add tonnes of nifty content.

Despite these little disappointments, this is one of the funniest D&D comics you will ever read.

I love Zogonia so much. Actually, I'm about to order my second key fob. Kev is such a total dork, but somehow completely lovable. :D

Zogonia measures up to any of the comics in Dragon's long history. (In fact, I'd put it ahead of most of them.) It works great as a D&D comic strip, but gamer knowledge isn't necessary to appreciate the humor, as it sometimes is for other Dragon comics over the years.

Kev is a classic comedy archetype, seen in sitcoms, films, and even Shakespeare's plays. Unfortunately, this time, he's armed and has access to magic items. Hilarity inevitably ensues.

A must-buy.

I just loved this book, and love Zogonia. I didn't have all the individual strips of this & Mt Zogon, so this was a no-brainer for me. I'm not sure why Zogonia stopped and Mt Zogon began in its place--b/c I much prefer the former--but this was often the ultimate D&D comic for me. Right up there w/ Fineous Fingers (back in the day!) and OOTS. Lots of serious, deep belly laughs from reading through this. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, it's on the light side of pages...but you get enough to make any gamer happy.

I've really enjoyed Zogonia, I only hope Moseley keeps it going online so we can get more collections someday. Fun stuff.

First Impression: Gosh this is thinner than I anticipated.
Second Impression: All smiles
Third Impression: Awesome value, so glad I bought this.

Zogonia was one of two major reasons I resubscribed to Dragon/Dungeon (the other being the AoW adventure path), so naturally I was thrilled to have all the strips in one place. The compilation is well laid out, with anecdotes (anyone who saw the website prior to the book launch will remember most of them) from Tony along the sides (missed them the first time I was so intent on the panels). It was a nice plus to have most of the Mount Zogon strips included, as well as a few comics I had missed along the way. I would have reviewed it sooner, but I wanted to give my wife a chance to read through Slice of Death first (she is a big fan as well) to get her impressions. Can’t wait until our newborn is old enough to appreciate this style of humor!
