Just got my Item cards
wow.....awesome.....my wife and daughter...recently converts love them
as a relic from the chaimail days and punk of greyhawk....AD&D...pazio keep it up
I have to say, I was impressed enough with the Critical Hit/Fumble Decks that I picked this up on a whim at my FLGS. I can already imagine using it to spice up a merchants shop, lay out the equipment of a recently defeated foe, or have PCs organize their backpacks (put everything in your backpack under your backpack card!).
I would have liked multiple copies of some of the more common items, but for $10 I can pick up an extra deck no problem. And copying is pretty inexpensive, even in colour.
FANTASTIC! Every PC in the group now knows what equipment they have. It also makes shopping easy! What does the trader have? I lay out the cards. Multiples are done by scanner and color copier!
These are great, but some items beg to be duplicated, while others don't. I would like to have 4 backpacks, for example, but I don't need 4 magnifying glasses. :)
If this was also available as a PDF that I could print as necessary, that would be totally awesome too!
I think it is awesome to have a card for all your gear, but these cards also play the part of some really cool and unusual magic items. A bag of mystical magic marbles of wonder, deck of cards (many things), magical dice...and tons more. This deck is one of my favorites because it provides a lot of cool items with none of the typical stuff (sword, wands, etc...)..can't wait for number 2.
Hey,
These are great standard size trading cards for FRP Gear. The art is great and there is a pretty good variety of 'stuff'.
My only desire would be to have the standard weight and price on each.
There are still a few items missing.
Hey guys how about 3x3 card holders that are labeled "Mount". You can slip 1 card in on your mount in the top slot. Has its HP ect. right there. Then if you loose your horse you know exactly what you have lost.
Scott
I think the entire line of cards are great.if you guys are looking for more ideas, I would love to see a set with minions and steeds.
These cards are absolutely awesome. We are using them at the game table all the time, since it reinforces the "fun" aspect of the game.
We already had many magical items to play with through the other sets, but this one, featuring the most common "mundane" items the PCs may own, was obviously missing. Now we have it!
A great plus to this card set is that it comes complete, and thus isn't random at all. That's awesome.
What's funny is a friend and I thought up the idea of creating cards for a character's items a while ago, and here they are. Adventurer's Gear is the best of them yet, but we need a card list in numerical order from 1-54 instead of jumbled.
I love these cards! By far, this is the best deck yet!! I have purchased all the previous packs with mixed opinions on their value/adaptability. No problems with this pack! The adaptability/versatility of the cards in this particular deck is unparalleled since the items included are what "every" player character has (or will have over the course of a campaign). There are very few cards that weren't put to immediate use in my game. It's especially nice to be able to neatly track rations, torches, and other constantly replenished items on a beautifully illustrated card. The cards for spellbook, thieves tools, etc. are great for keeping track of where (or on whose person) specific items are at any given moment. My players now cringe when an in-game "dropped item" moment happens or their carried items are specifically targeted by spell/damage. I've bought two (these packs sorta demand one for each player) and am anxiously rolling pennies to buy more.
