The Ptolus counter collection is just what it says: it provides you with 2D counters to use on your battle mat to simulate the positions of PCs, NPCs and creatures in your Ptolus game.
I think the selection of NPCs and creatures is fair. The art is average, not great (I thought maybe Fiery Dragon could have used the great art of the big book to represent most of the NPCs, and contract some of its artists to design new counters for the SRD monsters included in this set, but this isn't the case).
I think the product is decent, but it could have been much better. Add to this the price, which I think is expensive, and the product ends up with 3 stars. Decent but far from great.
