All Chris (Steve Wolbrecht) wants is to be an accountant. This changes forever when a demon murders his girlfriend and destroys half of his sleepy college campus. Fleeing with Gabriel (Nathan Rice), the sole surviving member of a celestial team of demon hunters, Chris finds himself immersed in a world of supernatural terrors—a world populated by time-traveling gunslingers, coniferous bounty hunters, and the very demon who killed his friends. Can Chris learn to fight back and survive the horrors of Dead Camper Lake, or will he literally find himself in Hell?
From Dead Gentlemen Productions, the comedy troupe and indie film company who entertained audiences around the world with their cult hit The Gamers, Dead Camper Lake is presented here in both its original and extended versions.

These movies are everything lovable about B movies, even if they have some of the unlovable parts as well. Hilarious (both intentionally and as a result of low low production values), great world setting, and great characters twined with a ridiculous plot and very enjoyable villains, these movies are truly worth watching. 4 stars for each, 5 stars to the DVD because it comes with both.

I'll be the first to admit that I love Dead Gentlement Productions. Ever since a friend of mine showed us the rough VHS copy of Demon Hunters and the bootleg cut of Dead Camper Lake back in 2002, I have been addicted. There's just one problem... in terms of dead camper lake this DVD rocks. It has the bloopers reel that was taken out of the credits, behind the scenes features, and the version of the movie on the bootleg VHS which I feel was better despite the length (which also wasn't an issue).
The big markdown comes from a BIG cardinal sin on the production end. YOU GUYS FORGOT TO PUT THE ORIGINAL BLOOPER REEL IN! The original Demon Hunters blooper reel was THE BEST!
Other than that, the dvd is quite goood and provides hours of solid entertainment. 3.5 stars.
I have to say that I enjoyed Demon Hunters better than Dead Camper Lake, but they were both pretty good. Not nearly as funny as the Gamers, but not bad. One of the highlights would have to be the demon venting frustrations on the cafeteria guy. Plenty of innovative Demon Hunting techniques as well as the old over-used stuff like holy water in super soakers. Enjoyable in that we-are-truly-geeks kind of way.
The credits for Demon Hunters truly Rock, and we nearly died laughing at the blooper reel for Dead Camper Lake.

For the other DVDs of the Gentlemen, there is a note on which region the DVD is for. Living in Europe, I'd like to know if I can even watch this before purchasing. Region 2?
