These playing cards are perfect! Easy to read at a glance yet visually stunning, these are my favorite deck of cards I have ever owned. Most themed card decks will replace the face cards/ace with pictures fitting the theme of the deck (i.e. the king of hearts is Superman in a super-hero themed deck). The face cards and aces are still the standard mirror image portraits of the nobles (jack/queen/king) so you don't have to hold the cards in one direction only, but these are illustrated in an excellent, edgy style that compliments the rest of the deck. Also, there are no images on the number cards - the suit symbols (diamonds, hearts, spades, clubs) are just very cool looking. The jokers look extremely cool too and the four extra cards mentioned in the product description are Xs (they have an X in the corner instead of a number or an A,J,Q,K - but each one still has a suit), which they call serpents (these cards are illustrated with serpents). You can add these into standard games as wild cards, or anything else you can think of, or make up your own game that includes them. Pick up this deck of cards - you will not be disappointed.
