Summon up some help for your game with 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming's Player's Aid II: Monster Summoning Cards!
With templates—even the simplified templates of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary—and bonuses from feats, summoning monsters on the fly can be a time-consuming process and drag the action to a halt. As a GM, whenever we know the player's are going to confront a spellcaster with a Summon Monster spell readied, we always have the creature stats handy for when it appears, but players don't always know when they are going to cast a Summon Monster spell.
To aid players of spellcasters and to make all other players and GMs happier people, we proudly present Player's Aid II: Monster Summoning Cards. Each card contains a stat block for a creature on the monster summoning lists in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook. Where applicable, you will find both a celestial and a fiendish variant of creatures, and each stat block also includes the necessary adjustments to the creature if your spellcaster has the Augment Summoning feat.
Now, with these cards, your GM and the other players won't groan in frustration when you announce you are going to summon a monster! You simply find the card of the creature you want to summon and—ta-da!—you are ready to go!

I started a wizard with summoning focus.
After the first game the DM told me it was my job to come up with a list of all the creatures I was going to summon due to the template requirement.
After I finished the list for the 1st level summonable creatures I realized it would take a lot more time than I wanted to spend. I went looking for someone who had done this work and found 4WFG's Player's Aid products.
I love the way the summonables are listed. The creature list gives the creature stats, specials (SA, SD, etc), and if appropriate puts the celestial or fiendish template separately. NO junk. It also has augmented summoning changes in brackets when/if you need it.
They are NOT colored nor is poor art put on it. If you want good art you are going to spend more than 7 dollars.
The templates are 2x2 per page or 4 templates per sheet.
I have only two minor complaints.
1) Sometimes the celestial and fiendish templates are off due to an oddball singleton monster. Which puts the celestial and fiendish on separate pages. It might be nice if the celestial and fiendish versions were available to print front and back of the card.
2) The summoned creatures page in the Bestiary page isn't on the template. This is sometime helpful especially for DMs who want to spot check the template on the creature.
These are very minor complaints and overall it is a great product.
This product is cheap, a time saver, easy to read, full of the info you need, and to top it all off it is low ink intensive.
The cards are 4 per page (not 3x5), Celestial to the left and Fiendish to the right.
I only have two grips which would had made this a 5 out of 5 instead of a 3 out of 5:
1) Would had been nice to separate all the Celestial from the Fiendish creatures (Celestial I-IX then Fiendish I-IX) - I rarely cast Fiendish versions. Or perhaps place the Fiendish on the next page so when you printed them the Fiendish would be on the back of the Celestial.
2) I'm a sucker for art and wish the cards had ornate borders and watermarks - looks too plain, but can't complain because of the price.
My suggestions to the author:
1) Append a new chapter of the same data but Celestial only.
2) Append a new chapter of the same data but Fiendish only.
3) Organize the original content to print Fiendish on the back of Celestial.
4) For these new sections of the same data, add ornate art to the cards
Thanks.
Great, well priced utility item for GMs and Players
Like a lot of the utility items that this company puts out, this PDF does exactly what it says, and does so at a fairly good price. If you are playing a summoning character of any kind, this is a good investment, and I really like that the stats even include the bonus for augmented summoned monsters.
