I'm very fond of this book. It isn't perfect but it has a lot of great material. Dividing the retail cost by the page count (157) gives a price per page of about 0.19; about average for FR supplements. The book doesn't contain an index (gripe, gripe) but the table of contents is almost as good. The book has the usual assortment of spells, prestige classes, items, feats, and regional backgrounds. It also has a whole slew of excellent substitution levels. The first chapter has some excellent material on what makes a valiant/valorous hero, including archetypes as well as character flaws. The book wraps up with some important locations, 10 NPCs, and a couple of monster entries. All in all, an excellent addition to any hero's library. Wait until you read about the Triadic Knight! Whoa, Nellie!
