The blue dragon is a vain and territorial juggernaut of claws and scales and beating wings, with a powerful breath weapon of crackling lightning. Few opponents can match the raw ferocity of the draconic evil and terrifying creature.
Drawn from the pages of the Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual and Draconomicon, the Gargantuan Blue Dragon controls both sky and land with storms of lightning. Can your adventurers or your best warband stand against the power of this gargantuan monster?
In addition to the Gargantuan Blue Dragon miniature, this product contains a full-color battle map and an oversized, double-sided stat card.

I must agree with TheloniousMunk, the pose is kind of bland... but I'll still have fun terrorizing my PCs with this one!
Just got this one, and its awesome. My only complaint is the weak pose. Otherwise I am very satisfied. My players now hate me though.

Is the gargantuan blue dragon really 4" by 4" at the base? I can't tell from the photograph, but it looks longer than it is wide. Thanks! :)

The base is 4"x4". The dragon's body extends over the base on all sides (exempilifying it's reach).

actually that's the big flaw with this figure. Its tail and snout extend over the base into adjacent squares. This hurts actual play because it limits where on the board you can place character minis. I've run two combats with this guy and in each one we've played the game of "pretend I'm actually in this square."

Thanks ghettowedge and raidou. I'm really torn about whether to get the gargantuan blue or the gargantuan black. The black costs less and looks like it allows you to put creatures in all adjacent squares. The blue looks a little cooler and apparently they ship it faster.
What's the map that comes with the blue one? Thanks. :)

It looks like the tail of the gargantuan black dragon might also block a space or two. Which figure do you think blocks more spaces? Thanks. :)
