New Combat Tiers Available for Preorder!

Combat Tiers are back, and better than ever. The Combat Tiers: Base Set is now available for preorder!

Adjudicating combat between flying opponents is one of toughest things to replicate properly in tabletop RPGs. Miniatures balanced precariously on dice—or stacked on top of each other to show who is higher—has been responsible for many GM headaches.

Combat Tiers are made from a transparent material that doesn't obscure the gaming environment. Multi-tier possibilities allow you to create various heights, while the large staging platforms allow the players to place multiple figures in simulated flight or combat, keeping everything sturdy and precise.

The tiers are gauged in one-inch increments both on the prominent staging platforms and on the supporting columns, so ranges can be easily determined at a glance. But they aren't just for flying combat—use them anywhere where three-dimensional combat needs to be tracked, such as the depths of the open waters, or even the silence of spaaaaace.

Also, with Starfinder on the horizon, there are even more opportunities to find uses for them on your gaming tables!

In the blog's first line, the two links to the combat tiers page do not work.

These have been available before, but are now listed as a preorder.

Does that mean these are a "new edition" or something? Or is it just because they've been unavailable so long this is more akin to a re-release than a restock?

(ie Are these identical to the old version? Will they mix together okay?)

They were sold out and unavailable for a long time. Tinkered Tactics is bringing them back now in large part because Matt Mercer uses a set on Critical Role, and people routinely ask where they can get a set. So I'd say it's more like a re-release than a restock.

This is part re-release and part re-branding. Yes they were out of stock for a long time and that was mostly due to them getting their production up and running in China and partnering with us to sell them into distribution. So, come September, you will now be able to buy the Combat Tiers in your FLGS as well as on Paizo.com.

Thank you all for your interest and support of Combat Tiers!

Aside from the new packaging, the product remains the same; they can be combined with previous sets and made from the same durable transparent acrylic. The new box comes with two Combat Tiers, consisting of two base platforms, two middle platforms, two top platforms, two four-inch extensions, and two two-inch extensions. You will be surprised by the versatility of Combat Tiers, I have received many photographs which showcase unique combinations and have been astounded by their creative applications.

If you are attending Gen Con, please make sure to visit me and pick up a set as I will have limited supplies on hand. You may also place your pre-orders and the good folks here at Paizo will be shipping them out as soon as they arrive! And, yes Combat Tiers will soon be available at your FLGS!

Happy Gaming!
