New Sherlock Holmes-themed gaming releases!

The new season of Sherlock on BBC and BBC America has begun! Game publishers seem to have taken note, and are releasing new Sherlock-themed board games and roleplaying games.

Asmodee Editions is releasing a continuation of the great Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective with a new expansion. In Sherlock Holmes—Consulting Detective: Jack the Ripper and West End Adventures, players join forces to solve 10 entirely new cases, 6 of which are standalone adventures. The 4 others form a linked-campaign, challenging players to stop the murders of Jack the Ripper. Also included is a new map of London and the Whitechapel district. A copy of the original Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective is not required for play. Speaking of the original, it is being reprinted now, and will be back in stock soon!

Also coming soon from Asmodee is Watson & Holmes, a game similar in nature to Consulting Detective, but in this 2 to 7-player game, players are competing against one another to see who can solve cases given to them by Watson and Holmes the quickest. Players must travel from location to location in order to obtain clues and information, competing to reach the most coveted destinations first, and sabotaging their opponents along the way.

On the roleplaying game front, Baker Street: Roleplaying in the World of Sherlock Holmes is a game in which players attempt to solve some of the most baffling crimes in history. Featuring over 30 careers, 25 unique criminal extras, and rules for making your own nefarious villains, Baker Street features a robust investigation mechanic, easy character generation, and rules for making your own mystery.

Great questions! Baker Street is a softcover book.

The Sherlock Die has not been made available from Fearlight Games yet. A standard d6 can be used in place of the Sherlock Die during play. The Sherlock Die is a standard d6 that has icons of Watson, Moriarty, and Sherlock instead of a 4, 5, or 6. If the Sherlock Die becomes available for sale, we will carry it.

I kickstarted Baker Street, but still haven't managed to find a group to play.
