New Pathfinder Module releases!

Written by fan-favorite author Nicolas Logue, Feast of Dust is a deluxe adventure for 11th-level characters, and includes 64 action-packed pages of deadly battles, enticing social encounters, and new monstrous foes, plus a gorgeous double-sided poster map featuring an overview of the desert city of Dimayen and a miniatures-scale battlemap!

A deadly curse known as the Feast of Dust spreads rapidly through the Meraz Desert, driving its victims mad with hunger and a burning desire to flee into the sands. To find the source of this strange affliction, the heroes must investigate the plagued city of Dimayen, challenging fearsome gnoll tribes, nihilistic daemons, and the walking dead to discover the secret of a long-forgotten evil—a powerful daemon harbinger called the Jackal Prince of Famine. Despite the efforts of an ancient secret society, this twisted, unholy monstrosity walks the world again, threatening to spread his apocalyptic curse across all of Golarion! To stop the demigod's return, the heroes must uncover his three vile siblings, now bound within malevolent artifacts, and use their combined powers to stop the Jackal Prince before the entire world feels his corrupting touch.

Players can expect to reach 14th level upon completion of this adventure—if they can survive its daemonic horrors!

Gnolls and daemons? I'm in!

Is anyone else getting tired of having to have their PC's ally with other great evils to defeat a great evil? I mean, I certainly don't mind doing it once and a while but this seems to be a continuing trend here and I'm getting mildly nettled by it.

Are the PC's necessarily allying with the imprisoned siblings? Could be that you're simply using the item's powers without their consent, without actually allying with.

But can a good-aligned character make use of an evil-aligned artifact without experiencing some sort of backlash? Would a Paladin even be able to make use of said artifact? I hope these issues are addressed in the module.

Something of a contest of wills, perhaps? The Pali code does have the 'greater of two evils' clause that'd allow a paladin to use the macguffins...and then destroy them later. I suppose that still falls in the trope you tire of.

Imho, it kind of makes for the argument that alignment can be barriers.

The Exchange

I was a bit disappointed that the article pretty much contains a load of spoilers. I understand that sharing the coolness is important, but any player reading the above pretty much has a synopsis of the whole adventure. Not a biggie, but maybe something to think about for the future.

Wait, what? Nick Logue?!? Yay. If I wasn't already subscribed, I'd totally buy this.

Is it possible this module is a re-named version of "Lightning Curse", the long-awaited, long-ago promised sequel to "Obsidian Eye" that (as far as I know) has never appeared anywhere?

Fans of "The Obsidian Eye" have only been waiting for ten years now . . .
