Mirror Mirror On the Wall, Tell Me a Tale to Enthrall!

AAW-KS-SnowWhite

New Kickstarter from AAW Games!

Not every fairy tale has a happy ending, and AAW Games has a Kickstarter project that brings a classic story to new life for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game!

Some stories never get old, and Prince Tolkovar and Lumi Valtatytar's is a familiar one—but this tale of true love gomes completely astray in the Snow White Kickstarter project from AAW Games! Originally released as a two-part PDF, this project aims to put together a hardcover worthy of an unforgettable adventure! With the PCs hired as security for the two lovebirds' lavish wedding, something is certainly afoot as all manner of political intrigue—including assassination attempts!—put the party right in the middle of it all. Currently over 200 pages long, the Kickstarter project has multiple backer levels for digital or hardcover editions (or both) and has already reached several of its stretch goals! Amazing new art from Mates Laurentiu, new isometric castle maps that recall Dragonlance's High Clerist's Tower or Ravenloft's eponymous castle are crafted by Tommi Salama, but there's more waiting for gamers. Veteran authors Wolfgang Baur and Ed Greenwood are confirmed stretch goals to add their talent to this adventure, along with a gazetteer of the town of Morsain, dice games, and regional maps!

Get all the details for this project on Kickstarter's site, but AAW Games has plenty more to offer you right now! Check out everything from AAW Games right here, including their previous tome of underground adventure with Rise of the Drow, or their adventures for beginning gamers with the BASIC series!

Is there a significance?

Yes:
Lumi Valtatytär translates to Snow White. Essentially, GM's who run this adventure, should try to make sure their players don't know that the adventure that they are going through is based on Fairy Tales.

True love gomes?

I'm sure Liz Courts at Paizo just made a little typo. It happens to the best of us! ;)

Let's start a thread going on what she MEANT to put there and then what YOU would want to add...

What she meant: "but this tale of true love runs completely astray..."

Could have been: "but this tale of true love is rife with corruption and decay..." (Lich's Love Story)

Or maybe: "but this tale of true love soon becomes about who left the laundry on the duvet..."

Or: "but this tale of true love quickly turns in to a terrible musical produced by Dis-Ney..."

Ohhhh those are so cheesy... sorry I just couldn't resist. What do you knockin' around in your head?

She meant true love Gomez it's an Adams family romance.

Ahh, Muser, you've found me out! Now, no giving the game away!! :-D

If you are new to Adventure a Week, you won't be familiar with my naming process in all the adventures I write...if you ARE familiar, what others can you spot...Prince Ruhtin, perhaps?...Lord Herttua?

True love gnomes best!

"Amazing new art from Mates Laurentiu;" who I can agree is indeed amazing & earns his living doing custom character portraits: http://mateslaurentiu.deviantart.com/

Hey folks this kickstarter is funded and nearly over, but there's still time to support it!

-The reviews for the adventure are great
-The printer that AAW used for Rise of the Drow hardcover is the same one that Paizo uses for their hardcovers. All that Paizo hardcover quality will be in this book!
-If you want to pick up a copy of Rise of the Drow, you can get it as a kickstarter supporter for $35 instead of the $41.99 retail price. If you are thinking that you want to run a Drow themed campaign at some point, you want to pick up Rise of the Drow!
-The add ons are a lot of fun, if you want add ons!

-Most of all: There are lots of big stretch goals planned that I want, but I can't fund the project enough on my own to get to them, so I need your help to get the stuff I want.

Was that last one selfish? I think it was. Maybe I should delete that last point? Too late, I already hit submit.

From the looks of it, most of the stretch and add-on items are PDF-only ... am I reading it correctly?

thanks :)

Yes, you are reading it correctly.

The Snow White Dice are the only physical add-on to date.

The following are the PDF add-ons that have been announced:
-Jack and the Beanstalk mini adventure (unlocked)
-GM screen (unlocked)
-Assassin's Breach game (unlocked)
-Original Snow White parts I and II (unlocked)
-discounted copy of Rise of the Drow (unlocked)
-Player's Guide (still locked)
-Heir and Back Again adventure (locked)

However, many of the strech goals have been adding artwork and maps that the original adventure lacked, so they are adding to the page count of the physical book without adding cost to the backers.

If I'm counting right, ten of the thirteen unlocked stretch goals add content to the book. There are additional add-ons that aren't stretch goals though.

9 hours to go and we just hit 31k! That means that the Player's Guide add-on is unlocked, YAY!

Heir and back again, the King's Quest-inspired bonus module may actually happen...this is awesome...

Bumping the link.

It's a shame; if it were actual physical stuff, I'd be all over it, but I can't justify spending all that for PDFs.

But, you guys have been successful without my help, so congratulations :)

Sort of... The add ons are all pdf, but the physical book is, well, a physical book of the adventure. Most of the stretch goals are adding content to the book itself (more art, better maps).

So, if you want to get an exciting fairy tale themed adventure, you can jump in for the book with a $65 pledge. If that's not in your budget, I understand that too!
