Years in the making, Slumbering Tsar, the magnum opus of fan favorite adventure writer Greg Vaughan is finally available in its entirety from Frog God Games!
Beyond the Desolation lies the pitted walls of Tsar. Hundred of armies have ground themselves into dust, and not even the combined might of mortals and the Heavens could weaken it. On the eve of victory, the city was abandoned, its inhabitants nowhere to be found. Deep in the heart of this Temple-City to one of the most vile demon lords ever to terrorize and ensnare mortal minds lies the Black Gates. The blasted lands around the Gates seethe with echoes of the foul magic wrought here, and legions of brave warriors, good souls all, have fallen here, killed by unspeakable creatures drawn up from the Abyss.
Originally released in fourteen individual modules, the Slumbering Tsar Saga has finally been collected into the largest roleplaying game book ever published. Over 1,000 pages, replete with classic adventure themes like wilderness exploration, dungeon crawls, and mystery solving, this is the campaign where Good takes the battle to Evil, and will take you from an adventurer jumping at the shadows to a battle-hardened veteran—all the way to 20th level! Fifteen chapters await to be challenged by only the strongest heroes—that's right, only in the hardcover compilation will you receive the last and final chapter of the Slumbering Tsar!
A 10,000 year old legacy and a vow by the Demon Prince of the Undead to overrun the world stands against you—will you fight against his forces, or will you cower in fear? Preorder this one-of-a-kind adventure written by one of the best writers in the industry now and save $25—AND get all fourteen of the individual Slumbering Tsar adventure PDFs!

I'd like to thank Liz and the Paizo crew for showcasing Greg's baby.
Also, what a fantastic tie-in to my personal favorite science-fiction series! I don't know what the rest of the frogs think of it; but this frozen frog loves the tales of the desert planet, Dune.
A couple of quick questions:
1) Will this preorder be done similar to the ToHC where we were billed immediately?
2) Or will we have to wait till it ships for billing?
3) If the latter what time frame are we looking at for shipment?
I believe that this will be dealt with in the same manner Paizo handles all 3rd party pre-orders. You will not be billed until it ships. Of course Liz is free to contradict me if I am wrong.
Shipment should commence sometime after FGG shipments do. Paizo always sends out an email when things ship to let you know.
As for when, well we are in the process of compiling the final product to be sent on to the printer. Somewhere on another thread is an estimate of what month the books should be ready for shipping. May rings a bell.
We'll know for sure after layout. As far as I know World's Largest Dungeon currently holds that title at about 870 pages (IIRC). I'm hoping for 1,000 pages from this baby, which has been Bill's estimate from the get-go. We'll see how it shakes out and keep our fingers crossed.
Anyone that can find a book for RPGs bigger (page count)--that has actually been published (Northern Journeys is like 5k pages.....but is a fan based non-published deal for FR)..gets a free copy (first person to show me one).

I think the reason we were charged immediately for ToHC is because Frog God releases the PDFs immediately after they're available, rather than Paizo's normal practice of releasing the PDF once the physical product ships. I could be wrong but that was my experience with ToHC, was charged immediately, and got the PDF immediately, then had to wait for the Tome to ship.

See clarification above:
Ptolus has something like a jillion pages of bonus pdf material, but only printed its book at about 670 pages.
I do not believe that I can live without this book. It sounds incredible and Greg Vaughan does superior work. I may have just found my next campaign once I wrap up my current AP.

While I haven't purchased or even really looked at Slumbering Tsar before now, the text I bolded has been bugging me all weekend. If I purchased parts 1-5 of a Paizo AP and then they made me shell out for a large compilation of what I'd already purchased just to get part 6, I'd be rather upset. In fact, I'd probably simply unsubscribe from the APs and just wait on the compilation books.
The bonus chapter (which is not a part of the Slumbering Tsar total adventure storyline) was put in there for those who had faith enough to pre-order from us two years ago. The subscription is actually a purchase of the hardcover book and PDFs as they were completed.
We wanted you to pre-order the hardcover.
Again, you aren't losing any of the storyline, it's a connector story between the end of Tsar and the forthcoming Sword of Air.

Well, given that F.A.T.A.L. and its 987 pages never saw the business end of a professional printer (unless someone out there really really had some spare money to throw at POD).... that leaves the current largest book as
The World of Khaas, Legendary Lands of Arduin (hardcover edition) with 865 pages. It's second edition slimmed down to 821 and a soft cover.

Scarily enough, I think that FATAL did have an actual printing. So it's probably the current record holder.
OK, so oddly enough, I can't seem to find anyone who will confirm nor deny that this book was ever actually printed, but the PDF does bear a cover that sports a tag stating that contained within is a cd...seems to me a cd would of come with a physical book, not a pdf, lol. But, if it is the current record holder, Bill, that raises the stakes to 987..Good Luck, hope you beat it
For instance, I could put a label on the back cover of The Slumbering Tsar Saga that says "As seen on TV!" but it doesn't prove the existence of a commercial. ;)
Very true Chuck, very true. As I said, Couldn't find anyone willing to state this thing had ever been printed, so we could very well still be looking at The World of Khaas, Legendary Lands of Arduin (hardcover edition) with 865 pages, as the current record holder.
Regardless, this is all going to be moot once we get the 1000+ page count on Slumbering Tsar :)
