Interesting to see that rather new stuff like Jade Regent issues or Land of the Linnorm Kings are already running that low.

I'm a little surprised that they'll let a hit AP like Kingmaker go out of print.

It'll go out of print because it was a hit.

Also, there's posts from Vic about the commercial viability of reprints (or more accurately, the lack thereof). Basically it boils down to the fact that it's expensive to do them, and there isn't generally significant enough demand to match the cost. It's been almost two years since Kingmaker came out, and it's yet to actually sell out. That implies that there was enough in the original order to cover the majority of demand

Taldor

Fair enough. Makes sense.

The good news is this means patfinder is doing better than expected. I might be able to use this to buy some things before they go out of print.

I'm quite surprised that Dwarves of Golarion is "almost there" - it's a solid book in itself, but the general outlook of dwarves in PF never quite floated my boat.

supprised to linnorm kings on that list.... and innersea magic....

Yep, it is a good sign that some of the more recent items are on this list. It means that Pathfinder is doing very well indeed. We try to set our print runs so we have about two years worth of inventory based on past sales of similar types of products. We obviously way underestimated the demand for some of the more recent products. So we have upped our print runs on subsequent products, but those other products are just going go out of print. They gave up their print lives so that future products can stay in print longer. :) And, no, they won't be getting reprinted any time soon if ever. So get 'em while you can!

I'd have to wonder if the pdf price for the out of print will go down since the print versions went to never see you againvile

Hasn't for any of the other products that have gone out of print (e.g., most of RotRL, Elves of Golarion, etc.).

Somehow "Stolen Land" gained copies since the November list.

RORTL got an awsome anniveresry reprint....

the others will not.. as so said By James Jacobs( well not the awesome part)

and whats would be wrong with a 2 dollar off on them anyway.

It's entirely possible that I put it under the wrong category when I was assembling the list! :D

We always do an end of the year inventory count and it is possible that the guys found a box or two when doing that count. Also, we got a big shipment of books back from our book distributor, Diamond. When we see a book getting low on inventory and we see stock sitting in their warehouse, we ask them to send it back to us, so we can sell it to you. Both of those are possibilities for the mysterious increase in inventory. Or Liz screwed up. :)

Ducks were placed in the right spots—I didn't screw up!

Still means that y'all are running out of chances to grab the first part of the Kingmaker Adventure Path though. :D

I find this a pretty short sighted and somewhat frustrating policy.
I was thinking of running Jade Regent with my group next and was planning on buying the 1st two books.

The way it is going now though, by the time we get around to books 3-6, they may not be available anymore.

I know I can get the pdf's but I prefer to have the physical books, I find they are much easier to use.

I understand older items going out of print and am aware of the costs associated with re-printing as well as the carrying costs of items that no longer sell as well. But in this case Jade Regent is the most recent and still yet to be finished adventure path that Paizo has! Add to this that there is clearly a demand for it as it’s almost sold out as fast as its released.

I’m curious what would happen to a new subscriber, they get the last 2 modules in this AP then they are not able to go back and get the first 4? This would just leave a bad taste in my mouth.

It kinda feels like going in to a car dealership and buying a 2012 model car by sections, you get the body and wheels only to find out later that the engine is no longer available.

I dunno, maybe others have no issue with this and I am in the minority? As I mentioned earlier though, it's rather frustrating knowing that it’s buy it now or else!

Please read my first few posts in this thread, where I go into a *lot* of detail on the topic.

It seems that the Jade Regent path was a more successful than Paizo had foreseen when they decided on the print volume.

I'm worried about the fact that tide of honor is not yet available on amazon italy... hope I have a chance to buy it

One thing to think about with the Going, Going, Gone blogs are that we are giving you a pretty advanced warning of pending out of print status. Some of the items in this blog have been in it for almost three years now. Some things move faster than others, but we are trying to give everyone way advanced warning. Rarely does this mean that it will be gone in a matter of weeks. Or even months.

Due to the linking of errata updates and new printings, is it fair to assume that if a hardcover book appears on this list, there's a possibility of errata coming for it soon?

We don't plan to reprint any of the products on this list.

(Also, I think the only hardcovers on the list are the Dragon and Dungeon books that were produced under license; since that license has expired, we couldn't reprint them if we wanted to.)

Wouldn't listing the hardcovers about to go out of print be counterproductive as people will wait for new printings too?

Yep—when we reprint books, we don't tell anybody about it until we're ready to ship it.

But they don't belong here anyway, since this is the "Going, Going, Gone" list, not the "Going, Going, Soon To Be Back" list.

Could we see an update to this list perhaps? February seems a little out-of-date and I think this is a useful tool for people who (like me) want to catch up on their Pathfinder back-purchases and want to focus first on things which may soon be hard to find.
