New Pathfinder Campaign Setting book has arrived!

Hard lands breed hard people, and in Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Lands of the Linnorm Kings, you'll get a taste of what life is like in the cold and savage north!

Unlike the civilzations of the south, the Lands of the Linnorm Kings constantly teeter on the edge of falling backwards into a primal state. The perils of living so close to the White Witches of Irrisen are many, and the arctic winds coming off the Crown of the World hardly makes this region a vacation spot. Violent beasts and unpredictable fey just adds to the character of this realm, and the resident Ulfen would not have it any other way.

Each of the seven realms of these Lands has its own history and unique dangers. The veil between the fey-ruled First World and the Grungir Forest is thin, and the cruel pranks played by the denizens of those woods can mean life or death, while the borderlands of Hagreach conflict with the forces of Irrisen. It takes a person of strong character to rule this disparate realms, and in each capital are the Linnorm Kings, a title that can only be earned, never given or inherited. Sveinn Blood-Eagle of Kalsgard, White Estrid of Halgrim, Opir Eightfingers of Jol—these are some of the few that have defeated a linnorm and lived to tell the tale.

Reputation is everything here—actions speak louder than words, and the cowardice of a raiding captain will be remembered long after they pass, as will recovering famous weapons or defending your home from ravaging creatures and trolls. A system for gaining and losing reputation is included in Lands of the Linnorm Kings, as is weregild. This elaborate system was designed to keep blood feuds to a minimum and serve as a means of restitution for property damage, death of kin, and ransom exchange, and can serve as a springboard for exciting adventures! Speaking of adventures, with the new effigies, events, monsters, and sites included in this book, you'll have everything you need craft exciting games in the harsh Lands of the Linnorm Kings!

Oh, a Manowar quote. Well, I guess it fits with this product. :)

Typo in the second paragraph. The "artic winds" are probably meant to be "arCtic winds", unless you really mean that the wind is made of Italian vodka ...

you beat me on the arctic.

And the Manowar quote rocks.
I listen to 'Bridge of Death' at every Gencon. It's a tradition.
Hail and Kill, Gates of Valhalla, Battle Hymns, Blood of My Enemies, Dawn of Battle, and many others have graced countless RP sessions.

Good Stuff.

(ohh, and the Linnorm Kings book is pretty good too. Wish there was more in there on Linnorm hunting and Kingmaking, but we can't have it all)

Yay, it's out!

Hail! Hail! Hail and kill!

Yeah, Manowar seemed appropriate for this book. Glad you guys caught the reference! (Also corrected my Italian vodka slip. D'oh!)

Any reviews anyone? Any interesting or good crunch to go with the fluff?

It's awesome to know there are Manowar fans at Paizo (just one more great thing about them), and the book itself sounds great as well; can't wait to pick it up!

Love the Manowar reference! Gods of War kicks ass! XD
