New print and PDF books from Frog God Games!

Now that things have slowed down (just a bit, though) from the Tome of Horrors Complete preorder, we've got a whole new batch of print books from Frog God Games!

Frog God Games has always prided itself on doing things with a real old school gaming feel, and with both their adventures and their "hexploration" books, many gamers feel like they're in middle school (or younger) again!

The Splinters of Faith series has the PCs on a quest to stop an old evil from rising. Finding the means to stop this threat takes up the majority of the ten-part series, but with the final two parts now available, the end game is here. In "Duel of Magic", the PCs have one more ally to gain the aid of, which leads them into a coven of witches who hold court in an ancient temple. The tenth and last part, "Remorse of Life" will pit the PCs against a resurrected foe with power over death.

If a multi-part adventure isn't your thing, check out the short adventures designed to be played in a single night—One Night Stands! Short, sweet, and to the point, these are perfect for when the band can't get back together, or for introducing new players to the wonderful world of roleplaying games! The latest, "Death in the Painted Canyons" takes the PCs into the dusty desert wastes. Bounties on gnoll caravan raiders are there for the taking, goods to return to their owners, and slaves to be freed—dare you enter the territory of the fierce gnoll leader Red Mane and his tribe?

If you're the kind of GM to roll your own adventures, check out the Hex Crawl Chronicles series! Each release in this series gives you a sandbox to play in, all connected for a grand bout of "hexploration" and making the PCs more than just "you journeyed for 20 days to the dungeon." Each mini-setting is easily dropped in any campaign or homebrew and is perfect for groups that always want to know what's over the horizon!

And as a final note...we've got a few non-mint copies of the first printing Tome of Horror Complete for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. These copies are a bit scuffed and dented, but the monsters inside are still ready to take a bite of your PCs. Snag a discounted copy of this monstrosity here, or preorder the second printing right here!

Frog God Games supports both Swords & Wizardry and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, and many of their books come in both versions—check out the Swords & Wizardry selections here and the Pathfinder versions here!

Any chance the Splinter of Faith series will be complied into a massive compendium?

It's under consideration but will certainly be driven by demand. The series has sold well, but will it again is the question. So if you want a compiled big book (probably 200-300 pages I'm thinking), then shout for it! :-)

On a note regarding the blog post, I feel that I must chime in at this point and say that Death in the Painted Canyons is a seriously cool adventure. Kenneth Spencer (best known with FGG for his Northlands Saga series) wrote this, and I had the fun of developing and editing it, and it is really, really good. It would not seem out of place if it had been published in 1980 and set in the deserts of Ylaruam. Anyway, I like all of Frog God's stuff, but I particularly enjoyed this one. In fact, when Ken wraps up his Northlands Saga series of adventures, I wouldn't be surprised to see FGG doing a Caliphate series by him spun off of Death in the Painted Canyons. Definitely one to check out.

I would buy a hardcover collection of Splinters of Faith? Should I send an email to Bill Webb as well?

Added it to the shopping cart based on your recommendation. Picking up Spire and Jungles as well as the print of the first Hex Crawl.

Do you need to take my money again for this preoder? Honestly? Can't I give you my checking account and you do it for me?

Posting your support for a hardcover compilation on these messageboards will be sufficient. Bill Webb, Greg Vaughan, and Matt Finch all read these boards fairly regularly.

Alternatively, you can go to the Necromancer messageboards to post your support there if you prefer. Link

Thanks for the vote of confidence, John. I don't think you'll be disappointed. :-) I haven't read Spire or the Hex Crawls yet, but I really liked Jungle Ruin (it's got a SUHWEET trap in it) plus just a whole old-school jungle ruin vibe that rocks.

I'd buy a Splinters of Faith Hardcover if there would be one! Any plans regarding this out there?
