Super Genius Games celebrates their PDF a week for a year with a 52% off sale!

A year ago, when the Super Genius guys decided to release one Pathfinder Roleplaying Game–compatible PDF per week, I figured that there was no way they'd be able to keep up that pace for a year. No way. Well, I guess I'm not a Super Genius, because—even though Paizo threw a wrench in the works by hiring Hyrum Savage, and Monte Cook tried to distract them with the Dungeonaday website—this week, they released PDF number 52: The Genius Guide to Exalted Domains of Light and Lore.

And to celebrate their phenomenal feat, the Super Geniuses are putting all of their PDFs on sale at 52% off the retail price for the month of November. Yep—all of their Pathfinder RPG, OGL Modern and Call of Cthulhu goodness is a bit more than half off for the entire month! Talk about celebrating Thanksgiving early!

So take a look through all of the amazing Super Genius PDFs and augment your games with some of the best third-party gaming content on the planet. It doesn't take a Super Genius to see that these prices are amazing!

If the offer is still available, I would like The Genius Guide to the Godling.

I too would like the The Genius Guide to the Godling please, if the offer is still valid.

I really enjoyed your writing in the Paizo produced items, with a half off deal I may have to tweak my budget this month to get some more.

Glad I looked at this thread again:

Genius Guide to the Time Thief would be awesome!

Since this issue has been raised by a few folks, and we hold special love for our fans that already own everything we've done, here's my ruling. The offer is good until the end of the month. If you want a free PDF but don't know what yet, go ahead and make sure you are one of the first 52 to reply. (When counting posts, mine don't count, and neither do repeat posts by people responding to things.)

When one of our PDFs comes out later this month you like, post in this thread again, and tell us you want it.

Then, send me an email and let me know what you want.

So, DM, we have something coming out this next week I'm hoping you'll like. Just let us know you want it, and you can get in on the fun too!

And everyone be sure you send me an email after posting here. That's how I know where to send your free PDF!

Guessing that 100 week sale came early! I would love Apprentice Level Character book... I have a TON of Genius Guides but somehow missed getting this one.

Scarab Sages

My rough count says 14 free slots left!

Hi, Owen!

First, I have to say I have a couple of the PDF's already - and they're dead useful.

If the offer still stands, I'd like "The Genius Guide to Feats of Runic Might", please. Thanks!

The Exchange

I think I would love Time Thief. But my main reason for posting is to say Congrats!

Damn I think I'm in the "got everything" wagon. Thou I will take whatever is up for next week if it's still possible.

Absolutely an option, and that post serves as your place-holder. Just make sure you post an updated request in this thread, and then send me an email request, once the new product is out (which should be Tuesday, barring technical difficulties).

That's a great achievement and it's hard to believe Super Genius have been around for a year already. You guys do excellent work and I've bought a few different things. I especially enjoy the One Night Stands and will probably take the opportunity with the sale to round out my collection of those. I think I'll pick up a few magic guides I've had my eye on too...

I almost feel bad to ask for anything free since you guys do such great work... But if I could get a copy of the Time Thief that would be great. I don't normally go in for new classes, so this would give me a chance to see what the classes are like and maybe lead me into buying more! I have a friend who loves Prince of Persia and would probably love to play a time thief too...

Is it too late? or can I get the Genius Guide to the Time Thief pdf? just checking.

Just send me an email to my main address; owen (dot) stephens (at) gmail (dot) com, confirm your Paizo messageboard ID, and repeat which PDF you want, and it's yours!! For free!

I want to thank everyone for your kind words, and for once again amazing us with your response. I made an offer 2 days ago that I figured would trundle along for the whole month. There are now 7 slots left!

You all rock!

Since I'm running wild at NeonCon in Vegas, I'm sure I'll think of some new way to keep the 52 PDFs in 52 Weeks celebration going, even after we pass out all 52 free PDFs. But for now, just remember to send me an email of what you want, and I'll start sending out the PDFs next week!

How long does the sale last for, and is there an easy "ADD ALL" to snag all of the PDFs you fine folks sell?

One other question - if this has been answered elsewhere, forgive me, I've been away from the boards for quite some time...

With Hyrum's new gig at Paizo, does this mean he's no longer part of SGG, or is that a "side" or "freelance" thing for him now?

Scarab Sages

Brian E. Harris wrote:

The sale is good until the end of November, so even our brand-new PDFs are going to be on sale for a while.

Sadly, Paizo doesn't have a "Buy Eveything From SGG" button. We'd definitely encourage its use if they did!

Brian E. Harris wrote:

Yeah... the golem got Hyrum. He's still our friend (as are lots of Paizo folks), bt we can't chant "one of us" with him anymore. So you're not going to see him talkng about our stuff, beginning our threads, or even with his name in our new books anymore.

Actually, for some books I think he gets a "graphic dsign based on" credit sometimes, because he created the look of our line before Paizo snatched him up.

But he did such good work for us, Paizo decided to take him up to the majors.

Yes I know "awesomer" is not supposed to be a word, but sometimes you have to make exceptions.

I have decided on Advanced Options: Witches' Hexes (PFRPG) PDF

I confess I am amazed that we've hit more-than 52 posts already, right about a week after I made the original offer. A lot of people have been very enthusiastic, and even people who got their post in too late are getting the free PDF they asked for.

I mean, why not? Stan! is too busy unpacking from his Seattle move to pay any attention to what I do, and SGG has told me I'm in charge of this celebration. I confess to being a little map with the power. Why, I could do anything with this offer.

In fact...

Heck with just 52 free PDFs! Anyone who posts in this thread before December 1 can name one of our normally available SGG Pathfinder-compatible PDFs (or miniatures PDF) they'd like to get for free.

Just one per person please, but everyone who posts can have one.

I just bought the Witch's hexes PDF myself. Since I am playing a witch in Kingmaker, I felt it would be nice to have. Plus, our GM used a couple of Super Genius guides for new classes in another game he ran, so I should be able to put one in. One of the best things about Pathfinder is that there is a decent 3rd party publisher whose material I don't have to be afraid of seeing in the game. I'm sure there's ore than one, but it was hard to find even that in old 3.5.

Jason Ellis 350 wrote:

I think that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about us!

Hi Owen,

I have picked up several of these already, but haven't been able to use them yet as my group sticks primarily with just Paizo material or whatever is included on d20pfsrd.

That being said, I like what I have seen and several of them are exactly what I am contemplating for my campaign that I am working on.

I'd like the Mythic Menagerie: Kingdom of Graves.

Thanks very much and keep up the good work.

Scarab Sages

I would like to request the Genius Guide to Mystic Godling.

This is an awesome offer, Owen! Gotta get the rest of the Geniuses out of the office more often. 8^)

Hi Owen,

It's really great of you to extend this free offer. The 52% off sale really had me looking at several of your PDF's and I've actually purchased quite a few (as of today... err... yesterday as it is now past midnight here) anyway... I'm really impressed by what you geniuses have done... so much in fact... when I start up a new weekly game (after my group closes the campaign we've been on for over a year) I'm likely going to allow several of the new class options you have. The various magic-types caught my eye, the godling and mythic (or was that mystic) godling (actually have a player considering this one) and.. wow... so many more.

I think I'd choose something from the feats line-up... I can't remember the specific names right now.

It's either Feats of Metamagic...

Or Feats of Spellcasting...

Do either of those sound right? (I know, I know... it'll be one or the other).

I guess consider this a "placeholder" and I'll double check the exact title and then email you as "instructed".

Thanks again,

You guys REALLY do err on the side of AWESOME!

Axtually those are both products of ours. Do you want a book of more metamagic feats, or feats that give new non-metamagic options to your spellcaster?

Here's a spin.

I'm NOT going to post a request. I can only absorb so much content at once, so just having things doesn't much help me. As such, I buy what I want / need when I want / need it.

So. Out of respect for how awesomely generous you're being Owen, I'm going to NOT ask for something. Next time I feel like I maybe want something, I'm going to unhesitatingly buy it. Because you guys are classy. And have really reasonable prices, mind you.

The sale convinced me to pull the trigger and get a pile of your PDFs. Impressed so far. Keep up the good work.

So this started with me getting four magic books to my friends, but then I realized if I'm letting them use those books I should have them too, which in turn lead to the archetype books being added too. 7 new things to download.

I should have time to read them later this week. :)

Just so you know, this sale convinced me to get everything SGG that I didn't already have.
