PaizoCon 2010 is almost here!

It's hard to believe that in just a few short days, we'll be kicking off another PaizoCon!

Paizo's entire staff will be on hand to spend a few days with several hundred of our biggest supporters, along with a host of special guests. We're even bringing Pathfinder RPG cover artist Wayne Reynolds over from the UK as our Guest of Honor! We'll all be hanging out, talking gaming, and signing autographs all weekend long!

The Paizo staff gets pretty darned excited when PaizoCon rolls around, with Erik Mona, Jason Bulmahn, James Jacobs, Wes Schneider, and others running games personally! Sean K Reynolds loves to show people how to paint minis, and he'll be holding a workshop designed to get people started. Our friends at Reaper Miniatures will also be on hand with their "Paint-and-Take" miniature painting area where you get a free mini to paint up and take home! Of course, the Paizo store will be open with a variety of Paizo products to buy, along with a few other things that we thought you might like, including some special PaizoCon logo products! And this year, some of our industry partners will be selling their wares at the show, too!

We'll be hosting seminars on most of our product lines, as well as on the future of Paizo in general, so you'll have some unique opportunities to learn more about the products we'll be releasing in the next six months... and maybe even some hints of our plans for 2011 and beyond! Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunities to get into some games, including about two dozen Pathfinder Society events, as well as other scheduled games and open gaming sessions. Check out the full event schedule for details!

PaizoCon attendees will also be getting a gift bag that's not to be missed! Since this year's Free RPG Day happens to fall during PaizoCon, we'll be giving attendees a copy of this year's Free RPG Day Pathfinder Module, Master of the Fallen Fortress, written by our own Rob McCreary! And our partners at Reaper are bringing along a very special Pathfinder Miniature: Grandmaster Torch, pictured here in green sculpt form. Grandmaster Torch isn't even on the official Pathfinder Miniatures schedule yet, but PaizoCon attendees will be taking him home from the show for FREE!

PaizoCon 2010 runs June 18–20, 2010, at the Bellevue Coast Hotel in Bellevue, WA. Check out the PaizoCon page to find out how you can join in on the fun.

Can't wait to get my hands on that loot bag!

That's pretty awesome. We've never seen a picture of Torch before, though. Was one provided to the sculptor, or did they just go off the description in the adventures?

I'm so excited for this! Yay for free gifts, and double yay for a weekend of gaming with the best of the best!

Awesome. And here I was making arrangements for my local game store to hold a copy of the Free RPG Day adventure for me until I got back from PaizoCon. :-)

One was sort of provided. The ending of that long story is that we have a kick ass mini!

WOW, Grandmater Torch is becoming one of my favorite NPCs in PFS.

I just want to know when we'll see Grandmaster Torch's stat block, since everyone in my area wants him dead. It's very frustrating to swing at an armor class of [absent]. How hard should it be to kill a naked guy in a hot tub?

I think that's the best thing about him...Some NPCs should be unkillable and untouchable.

Dear Paizo,

Thank you for showing the mini from the Paizocon loot bag. Between this and not having Dead Tree Wayfinders, perhaps you'd like to give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice in it?

Sincerely,

Cranky Hermit.

Very cool mini...may just paint him and make him my next PC…

*sigh*

A PaizoCon ticket I can't use and now a goody bag I can't pick up.
Gonna be a lousy June.

:^(

Oh well, I have my subscriptions to look forward to.

I guarantee* you'll see his statblock as soon as you see Drandle Dreng's statblock.

Spoiler:
*Not a guarantee.

This is totally going to make up for failing to pick up my loot bag last year!

It is surprizingly difficult to kill a creepy, naked man in a hot tub.

I'd assume that any naked guy would be using total defense (+4 bonus). While 'invisible' is a +2 AC bonus, 'showing WAY too much' is at least a +8, with an additional -4 attack roll modifier for all touch attacks.

He's secretly Cayden Cailean.*

If this blog is the Path of Con...would the Monday after PaizoCon be the Wrath of Con, where we're all recovering from the weekend of excess? :P

Well there's the 50% miss chance for avoiding looking at the target.
