The month of October is almost upon us and that means we've got another batch of nostalgia-inducing game material from American Eagles!

One of the many things that helped hook me into playing roleplaying games (fantasy or otherwise) was the number of novels set in the Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, and Spelljammer. This month, we've got quite a few Forgotten Realms novels dusted off for you to read again, including ones featuring one of R.A. Salvatore's most well-known characters, Drizzt Do'Urden. Iconic for numerous reasons, he has appeared in several novels, such as The Halfling's Gem, The Legacy, Siege of Darkness, and Starless Night. Not as infamous as the drow elf turned good, Salvatore's scholar Cadderly appears in The Fallen Fortress, In Sylvan Shadows, and Night Masks! We don't have just novels in our Forgotten Realms stockpile though—Heroes' Lorebook and How the Mighty Are Fallen are some of the books that we've managed to get, as well as some very hard-to-find Al'Qadim books!

The 80s were full of fascinating takes on the future--cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic wastelands with mutated animals running amok. Thirty years later, we're still wondering where our arcologies, headjacks, and jetpacks are, but our Cyberpunk 2020 and Rolemaster will fill that Blade Runner vibe that the 80s cyberphile RPGs exuded. If that's too near-future for you, you'll love the Battletech, Prime Directive, and Star Fleet Battles books that we have!

It's been a while coming, but the arrival of Vordakai, Cyclops Lich, is sure to make your players need more than one Condition Card. The next two Pathfinder Society scenarios are in, and this time, we're staying in the Inner Sea region! (Irrisen starts getting cold this time of year! Brr!) We're dialing back our time machine to 2008, when Pathfinder Society just started, and linking back to some of our earliest scenarios with our latest!

Better make sure you have silver handy—there just might be werewolves about! In "Tide of Twilight", picks up with the Pathfinder Society deciphering the druidic lorestone recovered in Season 0's "Tide of Morning". Rumors of a powerful relic capable of turning men into beasts sends Pathfinder Society agents into the heart of the ancient Verduran Forest to find it. Unfortunately, with reports of increased werewolf activity, they might be too late and the relic has already fallen into the wrong hands. This scenario is for 1st to 5th level characters and is set between the nations of Andoran and Taldor.

Also dipping back into the cast of Season 0 scenarios, in "Song of the Sea Witch" for 3rd to 7th level characters, a historian with worse luck than a pugwampi-afflicted party finds an infernal book from the far eastern lands of Tian Xia. Unlocking the terrible evil locked within its pages, the Pathfinder Society has been called in to aid the city of Absalom and find the vile tome's holy counterpart. Time is short, and the Infernal Incantation has begun--will the PCs find the answers in time to stop it?

Every world needs a map—it sets the stage for so many adventures, and Gale Force 9 has teamed up with Wizards of the Coast to bring you new maps of Eberron and the Forgotten Realms!

When we told folks about the Tome of Horrors Complete through our newsletter announcement earlier this week, our limited supplies of the book vanished so fast we were pretty much stunned. Speaking of big bangs, the Super Geniuses have just released Ultimate Options: Grit and Gunslingers for your Pathfinder game! Time to get your gear on with the latest 4th Edition hardcovers from Wizards of the Coast!

We all love the part of the game where we get to loot stuff, but after the third cloak of resistance and amulet of natural armor, things start to get ho-hum. Turn the yawns to cheers with a new treasure-filled tome in Mordenkainen's Magnificent Emporium!

Forget about flashy swords and extradimensional spaces, Mordenkainen has better things for your hero! Flame tongue weapons and robes of the archmage for every tier of play is just the beginning. This book delves into such notorious items as the box of seven demons and the Jacinth of Inestimable Beauty. Every item has a bit of history behind it so the DM can give the players some juicy plot hooks, but beware cursed items like the necklace of strangulation or the periapt of foul rotting. You'll get great advice on how to build story items (like Jack's magic beans) and how to integrate them in and out of your campaign.

This month also brings a new adventure—the Madness at Gardmore Abbey Boxed Set! This monastery devoted to an order of paladins has seen better days. Grab your torches, rope, and your sense of direction—it's time to take on the Mega Dungeon again!

We've descended back into Mega Dungeon, the massive to-scale map released by Gaming Paper, but this time, there is not just one, but four adventures from some very well-known RPG authors! In All Stars take on the Mega Dungeon, Ed Greenwood, Monte Cook, Steven Schend, and Brian Cortijo have adventures spanning from 1st to 8th level. For the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, in these adventures you'll find lost treasure, break out of jail, solve the mystery of missing watchmen, and discover the mastermind behind ghoulish infestations.

The folks from Gaming Paper haven't abandoned their first love—tabletop gaming supplies! Dodging the bad guys and overturning crates and barrels behind you—the kinds of antics featured in every great action movie, from the Jason Bourne flicks to the Indiana Jones trilogy (don't even get me started). Capturing the cinematic and frenetic pace of a chase is what we aimed for with the GameMastery Chase Cards!

We first brought up the mechanics of chase scenes waaaaay back in Pathfinder Adventure Path #7—"Edge of Anarchy" (James Jacobs even blogged about it here), and now finally we have a deck of cards to make it even easier for GMs to run them in their Pathfinder RPG game! We've covered the three most common environments with this deck where a chase might occur (Dungeon, Forest, and Urban) so no matter what you're running, there's something in here for you! And here's the great part: each card you draw to set up your chase represents one round of time, so you can make it as long or short as you want, or keep adding as you go!

Every card has two ways to bypass it. For example, on the card "Collapsed Roof", you can either bound past (Acrobatics DC 20), or scramble quickly over it (Climb DC 20). Failure means you're stuck where you're at (until the next turn), success means you move on to the next card and continue the chase (which in my sample is "Mind the Gap", and then "Brick Wall", "Fruit Cart", and "Crowded Street").

Don't have much room? No problem! You can quickly plot out a scene on a small table without resorting to a battlemat with GameMastery Chase Cards, and they're so handy that you can even map out multiple paths to reach your quarry! I love seeing the new Pathfinder minis from Reaper Miniatures show up here—they're always so incredibly detailed that I want to assemble them right away and get to painting!

Both of the minis today are magic users, and first up is Khavith, Serpentfolk Evoker! He's perfect for the Serpent's Skull Adventure Path, or any game where you need a snakey humanoid! With a scroll in one hand and a dagger in the other, he's daring you to take a step forward before he finishes uttering his spell of arcane torture! Alternatively, he would be great as an infiltrator, stealing away a precious map or military aid agreement that your PCs have to stop!

Our other spellcaster is familiar to some of you, the researcher known as Lyrie Akenja. An armful of scrolls in one hand, wand in the other, and a good blade at her side, she's great for any player character, or as a cohort! She's even accompanied by Skivver, her cat familiar!

Some creatures shouldn't fade into history, and with Forgotten Foes from Tricky Owlbear Publishing, they won't have to!

With Forgotten Foes, many of the old-school creatures that were left out of the original Bestiary make an apperance, but there are plenty of new ones to add to your GM's toolbox. You can create your own beings of madness incarnate with the chaosiic (sample chaosiic included), or send your PCs screaming into the night with the chaosiic lords—reality-warping beings such as the Lord of Entropy or the Lord of the Insane. Re-introduce the elven hounds known as cooshee, add the double-weapon-wielding felius demon, or the draconic might of the sin dragons to your game and watch the spells and steel fly to defeat (or defend) them!

Far from its ally Magnimar, Ravenmoor is content with their quiet rural lifestyle. Unremarkable because of its isolation and quaint habits, it would be completely forgotten if not for the fact that taxes haven't been collected in years. When the collector goes missing, the adventurers are hired to travel to Ravenmoor and find out his fate, but things are strange beyond the grip of civilization.

Outsiders are rare in this village, and the arrival of the PCs during the Founders' Festival causes an extra bit of commotion, and when a simple game turns ugly, things start to look very suspicious. Old secrets are flushed out from their dark hiding places, and what looked to be a rather simple investigation gets lethal, with unusual foes at every turn. Will the PCs survive the night to see the dawn, or will the secrets of Ravenmoor consume them?

In the eponymous "The Planet Killers", it's kill or be killed! The Terran Security Service's computer has calculated that the planet Lurion is on a course to destroy Earth—in 67 years. Terran Agent Roy Gardner and his team are assigned to take out their future enemy's world first. From the acceptance of the mission to arrival on Lurion, things are a lot more complicated than at first glance. Nothing is cut and dry, and nothing is as it seems among the mistrustful Lurioni.

Hypnojewels—unremarkable, irregularly faceted thumbnail-sized gems. Nondescript until you actually stare into them, and then your mind is lost, drawn into an inescapable dreamworld. Incredibly illegal, these baubles are at the heart of the story in "The Plot Against Earth." All the humanoids in the galaxy are subject to its effects, and Special Investigator Lloyd Catton has to find and stop the traffickers of the gems. Dealing with the other major races that have a stake in the outcome of the case is part of his problem, as they have no love for Earthmen. When his life is put on the line, Catton has a sudden vested interest to find the origins of the hypnojewels—and stop it!

Finally, in "One of Our Asteroids is Missing", would-be asteroid miner John Storm wanted to stake his claim of the rich veins and happily retire with his beautiful wife back on earth. Other people have their eyes on the very same asteroid as Storm, though, and have no compunctions about making him disappear after he makes a startling discovery.
