Discounted Item Cards and Paizo T-Shirts!We've dropped the prices on a few of our older products!
Sometimes you have product ideas that just don't take off like you expected them to. The original GameMastery Item Card Booster Packs fall into that category. When we pitched Item Cards to some of our distributors, they felt that booster packs of cards would be a better impulse purchase than a deck of cards, so they encouraged us to explore that option for our fledgling line. So we created two booster sets, Hero's Hoard and Relics of War. We thought the idea of picking up a pack or two to supplement your decks whenever you needed some new potions or scrolls was great, but when the pricing came in, we ended up having to price them at a point where the impulse aspect was pretty much squashed. Our decks sell well, but the boosters never really took off. And now, three years after they came out, we've decided to lower the price on our remaining packs to the price we had originally hoped to have for these cards: $1 per pack; $12 for a display of 12 packs. Each pack contains 1 armor; 2 weapons; 2 potions; 1 scroll; 1 wand; 2 wondrous items; 1 ring, rod, or staff; and 1 foil card, which may be any card from the set—that's 10 regular cards and one foil per pack. Now you can truly purchase these in an impulse fashion to add to your decks of GameMastery Item Cards! Another area that we have experimented with little success is T-shirts. While two different limited-edition Pathfinder goblin T-shirts sold out relatively quickly, and our Pathfinder Society Faction T-Shirts continue to sell well enough, our other T-shirts just haven't been as successful for us. Which is good for you, because we've decided to blow out the remaining inventory that we have of the Paizo Golem T-Shirts and the Pathfinder Gray Maiden T-Shirts at $10 off the original prices! We also have a few other Paizo T-shirts on clearance! We also still have some items remaining from our previous Paizo Gamer Stimulus Sale, already at rock-bottom prices. We can't always make the right call on everything, but we can make the best of things and pass along the savings to our friends! Enjoy! More Store Blog. Link.
Who Fears the Devil? Not Paizo!Publisher Erik Mona is our guest writer for today's store blog!
In addition to teaching me almost everything I know about gaming, Gary Gygax's AD&D Dungeon Master's Guide outlined a lifetime of fantasy enjoyment in the form of the justly famous Appendix N: Inspirational and Educational Reading. The list contains almost all of the mega-authors you'd expect to see as inspirations for fantasy gaming (Burroughs, Howard, Leiber, Lovecraft, Tolkien, Vance, etc.), but over the years I've become even more interested by some of the less well-known names in Appendix N. Especially those that sound like a story in and of themselves. Which brings us to Manly Wade Wellman, author of this month's Planet Stories release, Who Fears the Devil? You don't hear about many folks named "Manly" anymore, so right up front I wanted to learn more about this man with the mysterious name. Although Gygax listed no specific stories or novels by Wellman, recommending instead his entire body of work, I soon discovered that Wellman's most famous character, Silver John (or sometimes John the Balladeer), is thought to be a large part of the inspiration behind the game's bard class. After all, John's a wandering minstrel and storyteller who uses music to defeat nasty monsters and keep his world safe from evil. As Wellman writes:
As you can tell from Wellman's use of language, the Silver John stories are far more than just run-of-the-mill fantasy. Set in the wilds of the Appalachian Mountains (where Wellman himself lived) in the years following the Korean War, these wholly fantastical tales filled with monsters, dark legends, and unquiet ghosts transcend pure fantasy to become a genuine slice of Americana. The songs John sings are culled from the mountain songbooks heard by Wellman as he lived in the region, and many of the legends and tales come from actual stories told in the region. Just listen to the way Wellman describes a villain called Mr. Onselm:
That bit comes from one of my favorite Silver John stories (and the first to be published), "O, Ugly Bird!" The Planet Stories edition of Who Fears the Devil? contains every single Silver John short story Manly Wade Wellman ever wrote, from John's battle with Mr. Onselm all the way to the last Silver John tale, "Where Did She Wander?" Who Fears the Devil? also includes two of John's youthful adventures from before he got his silver-strung guitar that have never been collected in any previous Silver John collection. Our edition also includes a brand-new introduction from Hugo Award-winning author Mike Resnick (Stalking the Dragon) and a foreword from legendary fantasy author—and Wellman's personal friend—Karl Edward Wagner, creator of the sword & sorcery antihero Kane. Several beautiful interior illustrations from Sara Otterstatter and a chilling cover from Kieran Yanner complete the package. We're beyond proud to present to you the original bard, Silver John, in this all-new Planet Stories collection. We'd love it if you picked up a copy of your own but, well, we don't have a gun out to make you stop and purchase it. More Store Blog. Link.
Hammering It Home 40,000 Ways!Three new Warhammer products from Fantasy Flight are here!
Whether you like your Warhammer in card or roleplaying form, Fantasy Flight Games has something for you this month! Fans of the Warhammer: Invasion Living Card Game will be excited about the new prospects in the Assault on Ulthuan expansion, which explores the bitter enmity between the Dark Elves and the High Elves. The Dark Elves are a cruel race who excel at taking prisoners, sacrificing them, and inflicting vast amounts of pain on enemy units. The High Elves are a proud, powerful race who rely on card denial, cancellation, healing, and ranged attacks. Assault on Ulthuan contains two core starter decks of 40 cards, as well as 2 capital boards for the Dark Elves and High Elves. Players of existing factions will find plenty to aid them as well. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay GMs will want to check out the new Game Master's Toolkit. One of the key features of the Game Master's Toolkit is the large full-color screen, which features gorgeous, full-color art from the game on one side, and a wealth of information on the other, including rules summaries, a built-in progress track, page references to important sections from the core rulebook, and a variety of charts and tables to help keep the focus on the story. The Game Master's Toolkit also includes punchboards with more NPC and creature standups and tokens, a variety of new location and item cards, and introduces organization sheets to integrate into your game. Plus, the Toolkit comes with a full-color, 48-page GM handbook packed with invaluable tips and guidelines, as well as a number of detailed episode templates to help cut down on prep time, and new rules for Nemesis Characters and Nemesis Organizations to challenge the heroes. Players of the Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader RPG will want to check out Lure of the Expanse, which features three adventures set amongst the unexplored stars beyond the Imperium. Your Explorers will travel to the perilous port of Footfall to learn of a dark prophecy of long-lost riches, or they will find themselves on the path of uncountable riches. Threats abound, but can the Explorers transform danger into rewards? Wealth and glory await those with the courage to venture into the farthest reaches of space. More Store Blog. Link.
Living in a Plastic Age!We now have the complete line of Litko gaming accessories!A few weeks ago, we did a store blog where we talked about a few gaming accessories we brought in from a company called Litko Aerosystems. We featured the Invisible Character Marker Set, the Torch Bearer Marker Set, the 1" Round Flying Figure Stands, and the 4E Condition Tokens—Game Master's Set (which are also great for Pathfinder RPG GMs). The response was so overwhelming that we sold out within hours of my blog. A huge restock of these items is in transit to us, but the orders have continued to pour in, so it has sold out before it has even arrived! We've got a third shipment in process—but who knows how long that might last?Given the success of those initial products, we've decided to go whole hog and bring in the whole line of Litko products! And there is a lot to recommend here, no matter your gaming needs. There are now six different 4E token sets that are perfect for the current edition of D&D, but can easily be used for many other RPGs. The new 1" Square Flying Figure Stand is an obvious winner. I am personally really excited by the huge variety of Fire and Smoke markers—all kinds of cool plastic pieces that simulate the smoke and fire created by all those pyromaniac wizards! And the Wounds and Health token sets are perfect for tracking the conditions of characters in roleplaying games and board games. And there is so much more! There are game-specific sets like tokens for the Zombies!!! board game and BattleTech tokens and Savage Worlds tokens, plus dozens and dozens of 2D tokens and 3D markers that are useful with a variety of games. We've added nearly 150 products—actually, more than 250, once you factor in different size and color choices—so there's sure to be something from Litko Aerosystems that will solve some problems at your own gaming table! This D&D 4E Book Will Blow Your Mind!Players Handbook 3 and other D&D products are here!
It seems like a while since we last touted Wizards of the Coast's latest releases for Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition. This time out, the primo book is Player's Handbook 3, which expands the range of options available to 4E players with new classes, races, powers, and other material. The biggest addition is the introduction of psionics, which shows up as at-will powers and power points, and also the psion class. The monk class also finally makes an appearance for the first time in 4E, giving a martial-arts kick to D&D. It is joined by the Runepriest, a divine leader class, and the Seeker, a primal controller class. The ardent and the battlemind round out the new class options. There are also two new character options, the first being skill powers that you can take based upon skills you have. The other option is called hybrid characters, a variant way to multi-class your characters. Four new races also make an appearance: the githzerai, the minotaur, the shardmind, and the wilden. Releasing concurrently with PHB3 is Hammerfast. Need an exciting adventure location for your 4E heroes to explore? Look no further—Hammerfast presents a fully detailed, ready-to-use dwarven town, complete with secret locations, maps, adventure hooks, monster and NPC statistics, ready-to-play encounters, and a full-color, double-sided battle map. The book is perfect for Dungeon Masters looking for an intrigue-laden adventure location that fits instantly and easily into their existing D&D campaigns. Finally, the D&D version of HeroScape gets its first expansion with the Champions of the Forgotten Realms Assortment. This is the first HeroScape small wave expansion composed entirely of Dungeons & Dragons iconic content. Dark hoards are on the march—lizard men, ghost knights, dark elves, and evil elementals are being summoned. The warriors of Faerûn are summoned to the greatest battle of all time. Will the Champions of the Forgotten Realms be enough to stem the tide? This collection contains 20 figures—all completely compatible with the entire existing HeroScape rules system. Each pack contains 5 non-random figures, a HeroScape stat card for each figure type, and a new treasure token. Warriors of the Ghostlight Fen contains a Fen Hydra, a Sahuagin Ranger, three different Phantom Knights, and one treasure glyph. Fury of the Primordials contains a Wyvern, an Air Elemental, an Earth Elemental, a Fire Elemental, a Water Elemental, and one treasure glyph. Glaun Bog Raiders contains a Greater Ice Elemental, three different Greenscale Warriors, a Drow Chain Fighter, and one treasure glyph. And finally, Heroes of Faerûn contains a Cyclops, a Drow Aracnomancer, an Elven Ranger, a Battle Mage, a Dwarf Warlord, and a treasure glyph. More Store Blog. Link.
Back to School!Star Wars Miniatures Jedi Academy singles are finally in stock!Do you ever have one of those moments when you totally miss something, and then when you finally realize it, you feel really stupid? Like asking for directions when there is a sign 30 feet away telling you where to go, or walking right by the thing you're looking for five times before you finally see it? Well, I had one of those moments yesterday with the Star Wars Miniatures: Jedi Academy singles. The guys in the warehouse needed a new project, so I gathered a list of miniatures sets that needed to be restocked. First, I put together a list of all the in-stock boosters. Then I checked to see how many minis were out of stock in each set. Then I noticed that I didn't have inventory numbers for the Jedi Academy set. And that's when I found my moment of stupidity. When new collectible minis arrive, I'm the one who puts together the singles list, sets the pricing, and finds the pictures for the website. But last June, I totally missed the fact that I needed to set up Jedi Academy singles. Maybe I was distracted by a little thing called the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook... but there really aren't excuses good enough to explain a nine-month delay in getting these little guys up for sale. Jedi Academy picks up where Champions of the Force left off, introducing new Force-using characters from all eras of the Star Wars saga. Characters in this 40-figure set are drawn from the Star Wars feature films, animated series, comic books, and novels. There are fifteen Jedi, from a Youngling to Grand Master Yoda, and six dark side Sith to battle them against. There are also a number of other minis including three new Yuuzhan Vong. (Well, ok, they're almost a year old now, but they're new to ME...) So, in the better-late-than-never category, I present to you the Star Wars Miniatures: Jedi Academy singles! More Store Blog. Link.
The Last of the First Campaign Setting! We've got Dave Arneson's Blackmoor campaign products at blowout prices! In the beginning—before there was even Dungeons & Dragons—there was Blackmoor. Dave Arneson created the world's first fantasy campaign setting in the early 1970s for his miniature wargames, and when he and Gary Gygax made the paradigm shift from wargaming to roleplaying, Blackmoor was there. Along with Gary's Greyhawk setting, Blackmoor set the tone for many fantasy campaign settings to come, including Paizo's own Pathfinder setting. So when we were offered the last remaining stock of both the 3rd and 4th Edition versions of the Blackmoor Campaign Setting at prices that were almost low enough to be from the 1970s, we jumped on it. And now you can save 50% off of the last of the Blackmoor books that we have in stock. The softcover 3.5 Edition of the Blackmoor Campaign Setting features detailed background information on the Kingdom of Blackmoor and its surrounding regions, complete with new feats, skills, spells, prestige classes, monsters, and an introductory adventure, "Ties That Bind." The 4th Edition of Blackmoor features newly revised and expanded material for character options, new races, magic, and iconic NPCs, plus full-color maps of the regions of Blackmoor. We've also got a few other 3.5 Blackmoor products: the Player's Guide to Blackmoor, the Wizards Cabal Sourcebook, and the Redwood Scar Adventure. Don't miss this chance to add some history to your RPG bookshelves! More Store Blog. Link.
Your Key to the City! The Council of Thieves Map Folio is here!
Now that we've wrapped up the Council of Thieves Adventure Path, the Pathfinder Chronicles: Council of Thieves Map Folio is here to provide the crowning touch for this AP! Since Council of Thieves takes place almost entirely in the city of Westcrown, the centerpiece of the map folio is a brand-new, never-before-seen, 8-panel map of Westcrown drawn in a traditional RPG style. There are also a ton of interiors and other locations pulled straight from AP—and if you don't play Council of Thieves, most of the maps can be repurposed for any urban campaign. Shadowy scoundrels and infernal masterminds scheme to claim the city of Westcrown in the Council of Thieves Adventure Path. Those who dare to face this villainy find challenges taking them from stinking slums to regal villas, through dilapidated museums and diabolical labyrinths, and on perilous paths beneath and beyond the tarnished city. The Council of Thieves Map Folio leads the way through the first Pathfinder Adventure Path created entirely for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game! A city of adventure awaits! More Store Blog. Mini Lini!New Pathfinder minis from Reaper are here!
Just as I was preparing to wrap up our nearly week-long Kingmaker-themed blogfest, the latest shipment of Pathfinder Miniatures arrived from our partners at Reaper... and among them was Lini, Female Gnome Druid, one of the four iconics we're statting up as pregenerated characters in each volume of the Kingmaker Adventure Path! Sculptor Derek Schubert did an amazing job of bringing our favorite gnome to life in miniature form, with her hair blowing back in the wind—and with her trusty snow leopard, Droogami, eager to explore the Greenbelt at her side! The other three pregenerated characters featured in Kingmaker are already available as Pathfinder Miniatures: Amiri, Female Human Barbarian; Harsk, Male Dwarf Ranger; and Sajan, Male Human Monk. Turning back to the latest arrivals in the line, though, we also received Seelah, Female Human Paladin. This miniature was originally released by Crocodile Games but has been out of stock here on paizo.com for quite some time. And for those of you who love our goblins, the last of Crocodile's goblin miniatures have been rereleased by Reaper. The Goblin Pyros set gives you four of the menacing little buggers intent on burning down your town/house/wagon/dog/horse. And backing them up in their rampage of terror is the Goblin Warchanter. Check out the full line of Pathfinder Miniatures! More Store Blog. Link.

Swamp Thing!Flip-Mat Swamp is now shipping!
The swamp monster rising out the muck... the smell of the filthy water flowing off its back... Adventurers tend to see a lot of swamps in their time, probably because GMs get to fill them with some pretty nasty beasties, and with lots of natural dangers like quicksand, deep holes, and the ease of just getting lost in the trackless waste. And so it's time for us to bring some swampy fun to your tabletop in the form of GameMastery Flip-Mat: Swamp! Even adventurers who feel at home fighting dragons feel uneasy in the swamp, where tiny insects bring terrible disease and one can never be sure just how deep the water might be—or what might lurk beneath it! Flip-Mat: Swamp brings the horrors and dangers of the swamp to your tabletop, the perfect place for putrid encounters sure to put your players on edge. One side contains a mushy path through the trackless waste, perfect for a boggard ambush. The other side has more paths, but also includes a hermit's hut and a very cool ruin partially sunk into the swamp—a perfect lair for a black dragon. I think it's also safe to say that players going through our new Kingmaker Adventure Path are going to get a lot of opportunities to use this particular Flip-Mat in the next few months! So venture into the swamp and see what adventure lurks therein! More Store Blog. Link.

Gimme an "N"! Gimme a "P"! Gimme a "C"!Raise a cheer for the Pathfinder Chronicles NPC Guide!
If you're like me, your players can sometimes test both your patience and your preparedness. I'll spend hours coming up with a cool NPC with a sweet backstory only to have the PCs kill him in 2 rounds flat. But then, when I least expect it, they'll want to know the name and backstory for some poor piece of cannon fodder that I didn't bother to design beyond AC, hp, and attacks. I remember when my group was getting deep into Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, and they captured a mook guard. Of course, they started questioning him, and asked his name. Name? For a mook guard? I quickly blurted out the first name that came to mind: "Wil! Wil... er... Wheaton?" (The shame... oh, the shame!) But now, with the new Pathfinder Chronicles: NPC Guide, I will always be prepared when my players throw me a curve ball! Save yourself some number crunching and use this collection of 91 fully statted and ready-to-run nonplayer characters. Whether you need a veteran Pathfinder, an eccentric Red Mantis assassin, an undead-hating Nexian mage, or just a rough-and-tumble thug, this book does the dirty work for you! Characters in this book include thirty unique NPCs native to the myriad nations of Golarion, with illustrations, histories, complete stat blocks, and special boons for PCs who befriend them. While they bear flavor and history tied to their homelands, all 30 NPCs may appear in any part of the world, and in any setting—use them as mentors, allies, cohorts, or sworn enemies of your PCs. There are also more than 50 nameless NPC stat blocks, custom designed for maximum utility in your game, including raiders from the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, Katapeshi slavers, spider-riding goblins, Gillmen knife fighters, and evil cultists. Whether you use them as bosses in low-level adventures or minions for high-level enemies, you’ll save yourself hours of work by putting your own names and faces over these premade NPCs. And finally, we give you the seven adventurer PCs played by Paizo staff members, presented as NPCs with illustrations, histories, stat blocks, and player boons. Use one as a quick premade PC, or drop them all into your campaign as a rival adventuring group! So when my players capture some poor sod that I haven't spent one minute preparing a backstory for, my trusty NPC Guide will deliver! Nevermore will I have Star Trek actors making surprise guest appearances at the gaming table! Instead, my gaming group will meet Ostog the Unslain, a barbarian from Varisia, who betrayed Girt Bear-Wearer and was left for dead by his tribe! (Psst! Our GameMastery Face Cards make it easy to give your new NPCs faces to remember!) More Store Blog. Link.
It's Good to Be the King! The first volume of the Kingmaker Pathfinder Adventure Path is here!
I am super excited about Kingmaker, our new Pathfinder Adventure Path, which kicks off this week with Pathfinder Adventure Path #31: Stolen Land. This Adventure Path reminds me of my first-ever campaign in the early 1980s. My band of adventurers entered the Keep on the Borderlands, eventually subjugating the Caves of Chaos and conquering the land around it. I still have my hand-drawn maps of the area around the keep and the caves, along with a key for all the nasty monsters living in the various hexes. Well, Kingmaker brings you back to those times, as your characters are given a swath of land in the northern part of the River Kingdoms to conquer or die trying. I can't wait to see what my gaming group does with this campaign! Enter the Stolen Lands, a wilderness claimed by nobles, bandits, and beasts alike. Into this territory the fractious country of Brevoy sends its emissaries, tasking them with subduing the lawless folk and deadly creatures that have made it a realm of savagery and shame. Beyond the last rugged frontier stretches the home of voracious monsters, capricious fey, wily natives, and bandits who bow to the rule of a merciless lord none dare defy. Can the PCs survive the Stolen Lands, bring their dangers to heel, and lay the foundations of a new kingdom? Or will they just be one more fateful band, lost forever to the ravenous wilds? In addition to “Stolen Land,” a Pathfinder RPG adventure by Tim Hitchcock for 1st-level characters, Pathfinder Adventure Path #31 contains so much more to make your campaign that much more magical, including a gazetteer of Brevoy, a country of ancient grudges and noble rivalries; new rules for turning exploration into a different kind of adventure; a new misadventure for disgraced noble scion Ollix Kaddar in the Pathfinder’s Journal; and five new monsters, including the first of a monthly series of beasties from Ed Greenwood! Also, check out the FREE Kingmaker Player's Guide PDF, which is chock full of information to help your players make characters that will thrive in this sandbox-style Adventure Path! More Store Blog. Before the Dark Times, Before the Empire.New Star Wars Miniatures singles are here!As the Star Wars Miniatures game is now winding down, I'll only have a few more opportunities to blog about this very cool line of prepainted miniatures. It took a little bit in our busy schedules for us to open the hundreds of boosters needed to stock these bad boys as single minis, but Jeff and Will finally got to it, and they are ready to go! The Dark Times singles include some of the best characters from that time between Episode III and Episode IV, when the galaxy is spiraling downward, the Jedi are becoming all but extinct, and the Empire is on the rise. Since the Emperor is busily hunting the last of the Jedi, there are a lot of hunters in this set, including the EG-05 Jedi Hunter Droid, a Mandalorian Jedi Hunter and a Gungan Bounty Hunter, plus some of the bounty hunter scum you love to hate from The Empire Strikes Back: Bossk, Zuckuss, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Dengar. (Sorry, no Boba Fett—he's been done half a dozen times already.) And you can decide whether Boushh is really a bounty hunter, or just Princess Leia in disguise. Of course, there are plenty of Jedi, such as Jax Pavan, Ferus Olin, Dass Jennir, and the Jedi Watchman. There's also a bunch of 501st Legion troopers, some Rodians, a Talz or two, and a handful of other alien races. Browse through our selection of Dark Times singles, and get your Star Wars Minis fix while you still can! More Store Blog. Link.
Pardon Me for Living! Two new Living Card Game expansions from Fantasy Flight are here!
I've seen the future of trading card games and I like it. Fantasy Flight Games has revolutionized the way trading card games are sold with their Living Card Game model. You buy a fixed starter set, and each month, a new expansion pack comes out to diversify your card library—and to further an ongoing in-game story arc. The best part is that the expansion packs aren't randomized, so you don't have to go chasing rares to have competitive decks. You still create your own unique deck from the pool of cards you own. I like! This week, Fantasy Flight has new releases for two of its Living Card Game lines. The Deathmaster's Dance is the fourth monthly Battle Pack in the Corruption Cycle, the first linked expansion series for the Warhammer: Invasion Living Card Game. The forces of Order have put up a valiant fight against the relentless spread of the Skaven hordes, but a new threat has arrived. This 40-card pack contains 20 never-before-seen cards designed to augment existing decks and add variety to the Warhammer: Invasion metagame, including a new leader for the Skaven—the deadly assassin Deathmaster Sniktch—as well as fearsome creatures like the Great Unclean One and the War Hydra. The forces of Order counter the assault with the Silver Helm Detachment, the Mountain Legion and the Vigilant Elector. The next Asylum Pack in the Dreamlands cycle for the Call of Cthulu Living Card Game is Journey to Unknown Kadath, which takes players deeper into the danger and beauty of the Dreamlands. With this 40-card Asylum Pack, never-before-seen cards are introduced into the Call of Cthulhu LCG metagame, bringing new deck-building strategies for players of every faction. The search for Twila Katherine Price comes to its conclusion, but in the Dreamlands, what you seek and what you find are rarely one and the same.... Also included in this Asylum Pack is part six of "The Lost Dreamers," a serial tale by Nate French. This episode follows Gregory Gry on an epic journey through the cliffs, forests, and blue plains of the Dreamlands as he continues his search. More Store Blog. Link.
Order of the DragonArcane Legions releases a set of two very cool, prepainted Asian dragons
OK, I'm a sucker for dragons. Even though my players only run into one or two per campaign, I can't ever seem to have enough of them in my gaming room. I have all the metallic and chromatic versions in every size from Small to Huge, it seems. But one area of the dragon department in which I am sorely lacking is those super-cool chinese dragons. Thankfully, the folks at Wells Expedition have released the Arcane Legions: Dragons of the Far East, a set of two prepainted plastic Asian dragons! From the forests of China and the rivers of Japan come two of Asia's mightiest creatures. Command the fearsome power of China's royal Forest Dragons and harness the chaotic nature of the Japanese river spirits known as Luck Dragons, both available in this single box. Each set contains one Luck Dragon figure, one Forest Dragon figure, four Arcane Legions Unit Cards, and two Formation Bases. Even though these dragons were designed for use with the Arcane Legions miniatures game, they will feel right at home on your Pathfinder RPG tabletop. The bases are about half an inch larger than those of most Huge miniatures. The dragons could easily be rebased, or you could just have them take up a little bit of the adjoining squares. In either case, you're going to want to have some Dragons of the Far East around next year when we release... Spoiler:

A Harrow Escape!New Dungeon Tiles are here!
It seems like forever since I blogged about Wizards of the Coast's Dungeon Tiles. In the beginning, I was eagerly following the line and buying each new set for myself as they came out. And then somewhere along the line, I lost track and stopped ordering. Then today, I came across their latest Dungeon Tiles release Harrowing Halls, and figured that I would give it a look. Boy, am I glad that I did! Harrowing Halls has just about everything you might need to create a number of town interiors. Four tile sheets have a variety of room interiors: kitchen, barracks, bedroom, festhall, grand entrance, bathroom, office, bar, and tables. Two additional sheets provide 3D elements like a 4x4 platform, a 2x2 platform, a 1x1 platform, two tables, and a staircase. For additional flexibility, many tiles have one side patterned with brick and the other with wood. And you can combine multiple sets to make bigger and more elaborate rooms. Since I plan to run Kingmaker for my group once we finish Rise of the Runelords, building interiors are almost as high on my wish list as wilderness map sets right now, so this set is exactly what this GM is looking for. I got so excited that I bought all the Dungeon Tiles that I missed in the last few months! Now to plan out a few rooms for an urban brawl or two! More Store Blog. Link.
Out of Sight!Litko Aerosystems brings you tools to help you run your game!If you're like me, you have a hard time remembering which of your PCs are invisible at any given moment. Embarrassing to say the least! I also forget who is carrying the torch. Well, the folks at Litko Aerosystems have come up with solutions for those problems and a few others. The Invisible Character Marker Set includes 10 see-through, laser-cut character outlines to replace your mini when you're invisible. With ten different figures in the set, including halfing, gnome, dwarf, demon-kin, dragon-kin, rogue, archer, fighter, cleric and wizard, there's sure to be suitable ones for the characters on the table. The Torch Bearer Marker Set consists of 3 torch-shaped markers to attach to your minis to show which characters are lighting the way. For flying characters, check out the Flying Figure Stands. Each 60mm-tall stand has a platform made for 1-inch round bases. The bottom of the stand can be used as a die tray to show the current elevation level of the flying figure, or as a place for another figure to stand. 4E players might especially want to check out the 4E Condition Tokens—Game Master's Set. Each stackable, color-coded 1-inch token allows you to see at a glance all the combatant conditions in play. Of course, players of other games can make use of these colored markers just as easily. Some of Litko's acrylic pieces require a little bit of assembly, so we've stocked some Craftics #33 Thick Acrylic Cement to help you out! More Store Blog. Link.
Bundles of Fun!4 Winds Fantasy Gaming now offers free PDFs with every print edition!
At Gen Con 2009, our friends at 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming became the very first third-party publisher to release a print product designed for use with the Pathfinder RPG when they debuted their Book of Arcane Magic on the very same day that we released the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook. Since then, 4 Winds has released three other books for use with the Pathfinder RPG, as well as a handful of PDF-only releases, and now they're sweetening the deal by bundling FREE PDFs along with their printed books when you buy them right here at paizo.com! In addition to the aformentioned Book of Arcane Magic, this offer extends to the Book of Divine Magic, Paths of Power (which provides new base classes and a host of options for existing classes), and their brand-new release, Luven Lightfinger's Gear & Treasure Shop, a 100-page tome loaded up with gear and goodies for your game. These special print-and-PDF bundles work a little bit differently than our other products here at Paizo—when you check out, you'll immediately be charged the full bundle price, and you'll be given instant access to the PDF. You'll be charged the shipping fee only when the print product ships from our warehouse. Come get some instant gratification with 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming right now! More Store Blog. Link.
March Forth!Paizo gives back to GMs everywhere with our GM's Day Sale!Several years ago, the gaming community decided to mark March 4 as a day to celebrate the Game Master. This year, Paizo is celebrating GM's Day for almost a week with our Paizo Publishing GM's Day Sale! We're offering everyone 25% off on the PDFs of our 3.5-era Pathfinder products, and 15% off of the print editions. Hopefully, this will allow those of you who have come a little late to the party to pick up products that you might have missed from our pre-Pathfinder RPG past. All 24 volumes of our first four Pathfinder Adventure Paths are in this sale, including the remaining volumes of the nearly out-of-print Rise of the Runelords AP. In addition, almost all of our 3.5 era Pathfinder Chronicles books and PDFs are on sale—since we have so few copies left, the print editions of the Campaign Setting and Classic Monsters Revisited are not included in the sale, though their PDF counterparts are! We also have 21 Pathfinder Modules, 5 Pathfinder Companions, and all 28 Season 0 Pathfinder Society Scenarios! But don't dilly-dally, as you only have until 11:59 Pacific Time on March 9 until the sale ends. Three of our PDF partners are also spreading the GM's Day love. The good folks at OtherWorld Creations and Super Genius Games are offering 25% off on all their PDFs through the end of the day on March 9 as well. This includes their much-acclaimed Pathfinder RPG products as well as their very cool Call of Cthulhu adventures! Likewise, Tabletop Adventures is offering their PDFs at 25% off through the end of the day on March 7. This includes their various Bits volumes, Deck O' Names, Destinations, and Horror PDFs. Tricky Owlbear is also offering 25% off on their PDFs through March 8. In addition, they're offering a couple of special deals exclusively to paizo.com customers. Deal #1: If you buy their Pathfinder RPG-compatible Abbey of the Golden Sparrow, you can choose any PDF of equal or lesser value from their catalog, and they'll send it to you for free! Deal #2: If you buy their critically acclaimed Behind the Spells: Compendium, they will complete the Behind the Spells collection for you by sending you the four Behind the Spells PDFs that have been released since the Compendium was published. All you need to to to take advantage of either deal is buy the appropriate PDF here on paizo.com and then email your order confirmation to bret (dot) boyd (at) trickyowlbear (dot) com, and he will personally send you the free PDFs. So thanks again to all of the GMs out there that make our RPG products rock on tabletops around the world! And now I'm off to run Sins of the Saviors for my own Pathfinder group tonight! Update! Pathfinder Paper Minis have been added to the GM's Day sale—they're 25% off through March 9! More Store Blog. Link.
Flights of Savings!Warhammer Fantasy RPG and Rackham Confrontation sale!As part of our diligent quest to bring the best bargains to paizo.com customers, we had the opportunity to buy some heavily discounted Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay books and Confrontation prepainted plastic miniatures from our friends at Fantasy Flight Games. And we're passing on the savings to you in our Warhammer Fantasy and Confrontation Miniatures Sale. We have 46 different items at 50% off, while supplies last. We have 12 Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay books for the second edition of the RPG, including such best sellers as Old World Bestiary, Old World Armoury, and Realms of Sorcery to name a few. For Rackham's Confrontation line, you can put together fairly complete armies of the Wolfen, Griffin, and Dirz factions. The Wolfen figures could make for some pretty nice (if a bit large) gnolls for your Pathfinder campaign, while the Griffin armies are full of spearmen, archers, knights on horseback, and plenty of other fantasy tropes. The Dirz are probably the hardest to fit into the traditional fantasy setting, though if you have more of a steampunk campaign, they could very well work for you. As I mentioned above, these items are in limited quantities, so get these products while the getting is good! More Store Blog. Link.
