Pathfinder Society Scenario #43: The Pallid Plague (PFRPG) PDF

Return to Darkmoon Vale!

Two new Pathfinder Society scenarios are available now!

Our Price: $3.99
Add To Cart

It has been a while since we have ventured to Darkmoon Vale and the lumber town of Falcon's Hollow that found life in our first two adventures, Hollow's Last Hope (a free PDF download) and Crown of the Kobold King. We revisited Falcon's Hollow in Carnival of Tears, Revenge of the Kobold King (another free PDF), and Hungry Are the Dead. It's been about two years since that last adventure, and people have been clamoring for us to return to Darkmoon Vale ever since. So you'll be happy to know that Mark Moreland, better known as yoda8myhead on the paizo.com boards, has penned his first Pathfinder Society Scenario!

Pathfinder Society Scenario #43: The Pallid Plague has your Pathfinders receiving reports from Andoran's Darkmoon Vale that indicate a new plague is causing the deaths of fey. The Pathfinder Society sends you to aid the nymph queen in stopping the plague and finding and destroying its source. When the plague spreads to the human population of Falcon's Hollow, the need to find a cure grows more frantic. Can you save the many denizens of Darkmoon Vale from certain death?

In Pathfinder Society Scenario #44, former Paizo intern Hank Woon brings us Terror at Whistledown, the third part of Echoes of the Everwar series. The citizens of a gnome enclave in Varisia are being kidnapped by malevolent creatures that stalk the night. You are sent by the Pathfinder Society to see if this sudden surge of vile activity is linked to the rumors of a hidden tomb near Whistledown that holds the body of a famed Osirion concubine. Can you save Whistledown from certain doom and find the lost tomb?

Terror at Whistledown is part 3 of the Echoes of the Everwar series. Parts 1, 2, and 3 can be played in any order and part 4 must be played last. (Look for part 4, Pathfinder Society Scenario #53: The Faithless Dead, in June 2010.)

Paper Back!

Two new sets of Pathfinder Paper Minis are here!

Our Price: $3.99
Add To Cart

It has been a while since Ashton Sperry and his band of merry artists have unleashed a set of Pathfinder Paper Miniatures on the Paizo customer base. But recent days have seen not one, but two new releases in the line! These eminently affordable paper miniatures are fully licensed by us here at Paizo, and they make a great way to add depth to your Pathfinder games.

Pathfinder Paper Minis: NPC Set 1—Hellknights is packed full of these bad boys that feature prominently in the Council of Thieves Adventure Path, and can also be found kicking lawbreakers to the curb in the Rise of the Runelords and Curse of the Crimson Throne Adventure Paths. This set contains Hellknights for each of the major Hellknight Orders: Order of the Chain, Order of the Gate, Order of the Godclaw, Order of the Nail, Order of the Pyre, Order of the Rack, and Order of the Scourge, plus a Signifier. Each mini has multiple copies on the same page, allowing GMs to pick just the Hellknight figures they need for their game. And with five pages of miniatures, it's easy to build an army whenever you need it! Ashton himself did the art for this set!

The second set, Pathfinder Paper Minis: Pathfinder Adventure Path #1—"Burnt Offerings" takes us all the way back to Paizo's first ever Pathfinder Adventure Path volume! The set includes thirteen key NPCs and monsters from James Jacobs' "Burnt Offerings" adventure: Aldern Foxglove; Bruthazamus; Erylium; Koruvus; Lyrie; Lyrie's familiar, Skivver; Malfesnekor; Nualia; Orik Vancaskerkin; Chief Ripnugget riding his giant gecko Stickfoot; Shalelu Andosana; and two sinspawn. Callous Jack provided the artwork for this "retro" set, and it sounds like they're planning to do sets for the entire Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path in the coming months!

Four Escape from the Asylum!

We have four new prepainted miniatures in stock!

I can't even count the number of requests we've had to make our own prepainted plastic miniatures. The best way for that to happen is for Reaper's line of unpainted metal Pathfinder Miniatures to do well enough that they can explore doing prepaints like the classic fantasy minis that their sister company, Asylum Miniatures, is doing. Apparently, Asylum's line is doing well enough that they've just added four new prepainted miniatures to the lineup!

First up is the Young Dragon, a strapping red that, though young, can instill fear into your adventurer's hearts. Then we have a Female Vampire, which could be of use for those of you playing the Council of Thieves or Curse of the Crimson Throne Adventure Paths. Asylum's Gargoyle is one bad mutha of a stone creature that should terrify your players! And finally, especially for Sebastian, they've made a Unicorn!

While we're on the topic of prepaints, I'd like to point out some other prepainted minis items you may want to nab for your game. First off, Skirmisher Publishing has their Orcs of the Triple Death line. These prepainted plastic minis come in several styles, allowing you to build a colorful orc horde in no time! You might also want to check out the prepainted resin scenery from Crystal Caste. These buildings are scaled to fit in with your other RPG miniatures and add a nice touch of realism to your game!

Vice Is Nice?

A new Shadowrun supplement is here!

List Price: $29.99
Our Price: $26.99
Add To Cart

The wrong side of the law has its own romance. Maybe things just seem a little easier when you don't have to worry about pesky things like "laws." So in the much more lawless world of Shadowrun, you might do well to take a gander through Shadowrun: Vice to keep yourself one step ahead of the law!

Illegal is a strong word. It means you're doing something that the government doesn't want you to do. You'd never do anything like that, right? Or would you? It might be that some laws are... misguided. It's civil disobedience and a moral imperative to oppose those laws. Gandhi taught us that. My friends and I—we're here to help you make these difficult moral choices. We'll even provide you with a support network, if someone objects to your strong moral compass. And, hey, if everything works out, maybe all of us might come out ahead. Don't worry! We've got your back.

Vice, the latest book for Shadowrun 4th Edition from Catalyst provides a detailed look at all levels of organized crime, from the major transnational syndicates—like the Yakuza, the Triads, and the Mafia—to the smallest street gangs and specialist organizations. History, personality, and membership of these groups are provided along with suggestions on how best to use them as key players in a Shadowrun campaign. The crimes they commit, the metahumans they recruit, the law enforcement they oppose, and the shadowruns they sponsor are all in here. Whether your team of runners works in concert with the criminal underworld or tries to oppose it, Vice will offer new insights and options to your campaign.

Take Your Campaign to the Next Level—For Less!

Combat Tiers have a new lower price!

Our Price: $39.95
Backorder
Add To Cart

Keeping track of things in three dimensions on a gaming tabletop can be a problem. Well, we've been selling a product from our friends at Tinkered Tactics that solves this problem well: Their Combat Tiers Family Pack garnered all five-star reviews in the past. Yet they still found a way to make them better—by making them cheaper! The same quality product is now available at a new lower price. Flying adventurers everywhere, rejoice!

Combat Tiers bring a new dimension to tabletop gaming scenarios where height and distance are needed. Eliminating guesswork, Combat Tiers place any size miniatures at the appropriate height and distance needed to determine where combatants are during your battle scenarios.

Made from durable acrylic, Combat Tiers are designed to easily engage your gaming group. The transparent material will not obscure the gaming environment. Multi-tier possibilities allow you to create various heights, while the large staging platforms allow the players to place multiple figures in simulated flight or combat, keeping everything sturdy and precise. Combat Tiers are gauged in one-inch increments on both the platforms and the supporting columns, so ranges can be easily determined at a glance. With additional extensions, your figures can soar to even higher heights. No longer are ranges reduced to estimations—know exactly how the battle unfolds!

Combat Tiers can simulate many environments—use them to gauge underwater or space environments in addition to flight. For military enthusiasts, planes come alive during raids and strafing runs, and ships and submarines enjoy a new level of silent running as altitudes and depths take on a whole new gaming dimension.

There's never been a better time to give Combat Tiers a try!

Readers of the Lost Arkham

The famous city of Arkham comes to the modern era!

List Price: $27.95
Our Price: $25.16
Add To Cart

Originally, Call of Cthulhu had your investigators living in the 1920s and '30s, but in recent years players have been able to test their sanity in the modern era. Chaosium's latest book, Arkham Now, updates to modern times the famous and fabled city of Arkham, about which so much has been written by many talented and diverse hands. A conscious effort was made to make this book as timely as possible; rents, mortgages, salary rates, and the like are left purposely vague since these things change as years go by—this is no longer a city frozen in time, but yours to move into the future.

Most residents believe there is only one horror lurking in this legendary haunted town—the urban sprawl slowly eroding Arkham’s old New England beauty. Rushing by neon signs and mega-marts on a quest to obtain even more material possessions, no one has time to notice the more disturbing, underlying qualities of the city—the grotesque vegetation sprouting in some places, the sometimes odd taste from the reservoir’s drinking water, the disturbingly high rate of birth defects, the too frequent child abductions.

Those who begin to make inquires are usually scoffed at by citizens, rebuffed by local and state officials. The truly brave have continued to put the pieces together, posting their thoughts on the Internet. Many of these individuals drop off from cyberspace eventually—often due to the effects some of these discoveries can have on one’s mental health.

Though they would never admit it, many of the longtime residents of Arkham know there is something not quite right about their town…

Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to the River Kingdoms (PFRPG)

Kingdoms Come!

The newest Pathfinder Chronicles book takes a look at the River Kingdoms!

Add Print Edition: $19.99
Add PDF: $13.99

A couple of years ago, when the idea of building a new campaign setting was rattling around in Erik Mona's brain, one of the earliest ideas was the River Kingdoms, a loose coalition of small kingdoms nestled in an out-of-the-way place in the world. It wasn't too long before the idea for Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to the River Kingdoms was hatched, complete with a veritable pantheon of famous authors. Originally, we hoped to get Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson to write a kingdom each, but unfortunately, those two luminaries were taken from us before this product made it onto the schedule. But we didn't slouch when it came to the authors we commissioned for this book! New York Times best selling authors China Miéville and Elaine Cunningham each penned a kingdom. RPG giants like Chris Pramas, John Wick, Colin McComb, Steve Kenson and Richard Pett stepped in to do some writing. Even last year's RPG Superstar final four, Neil Spicer, Eric Bailey, Kevin Carter, and Matthew Stinson cut their teeth on a kingdom each. And yours truly dusted off her keyboard and wrote her first contribution to a gaming product in almost 20 years, since I worked on Vampire: The Masquerade!

Stake your claim! In the anarchic hills and valleys of the River Kingdoms, all you own is what you can hold by force. Dozens of nations flourish in this land of outlaws and scoundrels, from high-walled city-states to tiny tribal enclaves, and any hero with strength and vision can claim a throne at the point of a sword. Here secretive druids protect ancient forests, and downtrodden refugees and exiles cast longing eyes toward lost homelands. Civilized sea monsters trapped far from the briny deep rub shoulders with legitimized assassins, and strange magic can pull a prosperous town in and out of time and space. With the constant rise and fall of bandit lords, there’s no limit to the power and prestige bold adventurers can find—though whether they can keep it is another story.

Pathfinder Module: Realm of the Fellnight Queen (PFRPG)

Spice Up Your Game!

The second annual RPG Superstar adventure is shipping!

Add Print Edition: $13.99
Add PDF: $9.99

When I first met RPG Superstar 2009 winner Neil Spicer at PaizoCon 2009, I found him sitting in a corner of an out-of-the-way room working on a character for a Pathfinder Society session. After introducing myself and congratulating him on his big win, I gave him a little pep talk about what it means to be a superstar (doing my best to channel RPG Superstar judge Clark Peterson) and told him what he needs to do to take advantage of this opportunity to become a true star in the world of RPGs. Sitting here with Realm of the Fellnight Queen, his winning Pathfinder Module in my hand, I think Neil has got what it takes.

Deep in the forest, something is stirring. An evil fey sorcerer, cast out of the First World millennia ago by her own kin, has found a way to break through the ancient walls of her prison, and carries with her a vengeance too deep to be sated. For the quiet Andoren town of Bellis, busy celebrating a long-awaited marriage, it's a time for joy and laughter. Yet the forest that's always sheltered it is growing dark, and things are moving in the heart of the woods...

Realm of the Fellnight Queen is a wilderness adventure for 7th-level chararacters, written for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world's oldest RPG. Inside you'll find a possessed druid, a drunken treant, an insane beekeeper, shape-changing forest warriors, and the dark mistress of the Fellnight Realm herself.

You've Got Your Computer Game in My RPG!

Green Ronin takes Bioware's Dragon Age computer game offline!

List Price: $29.95
Our Price: $26.96
Add To Cart

In the earlier days of the tabletop RPG industry, computer game companies came knocking down the doors of RPG publishers, seeking licenses to port paper RPGs to electronic realms. But now the tide has turned, and RPG publishers often look to computer games for worlds they can bring to the gaming table. Green Ronin is taking their stab at this role reversal with the release of Dragon Age RPG: Set 1.

It has been hundreds of years since the last Blight ravaged the world of Thedas. Many believe that it can never happen again, that the Dragon Age will pass without the rise of such evil. They are wrong. Beneath the earth the darkspawn stir. A new archdemon has risen and with it a Blight that will scourge the lands and darken the skies. The nations of Thedas need a new generation of heroes, but who will answer the call?

Fantasy roleplaying goes back to its dark and gritty roots with the Dragon Age RPG, the latest game from the company that brought you A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying and Mutants & Masterminds. Based on the critically acclaimed Dragon Age: Origins computer game, the Dragon Age RPG brings the excitement of BioWare's rich fantasy world to the tabletop. Make your own heroes and control your own destiny as a Blight comes to Thedas once again.

Designed by award-winning author Chris Pramas (Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Freeport), Dragon Age features an all-new game system that's both easy to learn and exciting to play. This boxed set includes a 64-page Player's Guide with an introduction to tabletop roleplaying, background on Thedas and the nation of Ferelden, a complete guide to character creation, rules for character classes and talents, a primer on magic, and the basic game rules; a 64-page Gamemaster's Guide with an introduction to this key role, advice on the art of game mastering, advanced game rules, and an introductory adventure that plunges the characters right into the world of Dragon Age; a beautiful poster map of the nation of Ferelden, the opening setting for the Dragon Age RPG; and 3 six-sided dice.

The Prince of Thieves!

The last volume of the Council of Thieves Adventure Path is almost here!

Add Print Edition: $19.99
Add PDF: $13.99

I have become immersed yet again in the new season of the TV show 24, where counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer rushes against the clock to stop some catastrophe or another. And in Pathfinder Adventure Path #30: The Twice-Damned Prince, the last volume in the Council of Thieves Adventure Path, adventuring groups will be facing obstacles and a fast-approaching timeline. Will they be able to wrest control of Westcrown away from the Council of Thieves before the Thrune family arrives to take matters into their own hands? Tick, tock... Tick, tock... Tick, tock...

Their deception revealed and their plans waylaid, two deadly and Hell-touched siblings make a desperate final play for control of Westcrown. With the city in chaos and its leaders fled, few stand to defend the beleaguered people when the plots of fiends turn upon them. At the same time, the rulers of Cheliax launch their own ruthless plot to retake control. Can the PCs return order and shatter the Council of Thieves' age-old stranglehold on Westcrown once and for all? Or will the former capital slide fully into the grip of a terrible new deviltry? It's up to the PCs to decide in the latest volume of the Pathfinder Adventure Path!

Pathfinder Adventure Path #30 also includes catastrophic new rules for running a variety of calamities, from fires to floods; new revelations on Mammon, the avaricious archdevil of Erebus; five new monsters to add to your GM repertoire; and a gut-wrenching conclusion to the Pathfinder’s Journal by Dave Gross, in which Pathfinder Varian Jeggare and Radovan face down devilish plots and the laws of Cheliax itself!

Death Becomes You!

Goodman Games teams up with the legendary Frank Frazetta!

Add PDF: $7.99
Print Edition: Discontinued

When I was in high school, I became a big fan of the southern rock band Molly Hatchet. A big part of my infatuation was the awesome Frank Frazetta painting, Death Dealer, that they used for their first album cover, and that's still the dominant graphic element on their website today. My D&D game at the time had a recurring death knight villain in it, so the creepy black knight on horseback was riveting to me!

32 years later, that amazing Frazetta art is still inspiring gamers with Goodman Games' latest 4E adventure, Death Dealer: Shadows of Mirahan. Death stalks the lands of Iparsia. Mirahan, Destroyer of Worlds, is reborn, unleashing an army of undead warriors. Citadels fall beneath the march of iron and entire kingdoms are laid to waste. The hope for salvation rests on an unlikely band of heroes discovering the ancient secret of the Druids: The Death Dealer.

An epic adventure of dark fantasy, magic, and horror, Shadows of Mirahan brings the savage world of Frank Frazetta's Death Dealer to life with setting details, rules variants, and pre-generated characters. When the armies of good have all fallen, and the last citadel burns in the night, will your heroes have the courage to rise against the shadows of Mirahan?

In this blog, we aren't going to try to sell you anything. We won't ask you to spend even one thin dime. Instead, we are today going to revel in the glory of Wayfinder #2, the Pathfinder fanzine written by the fans, for the fans. And I have to say after browsing through my PDF that this issue may even be better than Wayfinder #1, if that's even possible! This group of Pathfinder fans has put together 82 pages of awesome content that will cost you nothing to peruse. Zero. Zilch. Nada!

There's a lot of good stuff in this edition of Wayfinder. There is the Ritual of Stardust, an encounter at a Desnan ritual, by Elizabeth Lieb. Our own Crystal Frasier designed and illustrated some cool beasties for those in the frigid north. An article on the berserkers of the Linnorm Kings by vagrant-poet gives you a few new feats and a new rage power. There are four sidetreks set in Northern Avistan. Then it's back to Crystal for an article about the Crystalhue, an annual celebration of the goddess Shelyn. Ryan. Costello gives us a cool article on Kellid festishes and Hal Maclean looks into drugs of Golarion. Jason Sonia gives us a bunch of new achievement feats. An article by Set about thematic channeling will give you a ideas for customizing your cleric's channeling ability based on the deity they worship.

Done? Not even close. zylphryx gives us the Gunslinger class, and David Fryer gives us the Svartalfar, a new race. deClench offers the Dawnfly, invoving a couple of CR20+ creatures for your epic level games. A cool article from Arazyr on Darkmoon Vale campaign traits follows, with a collection of sorcerer bloodlines right on its heels. Another new race from The Eldritch Mr. Shiny follows, along with two new beasties! Taste of Golarion includes five Golarion-inspired recipes to experiment with in the kitchen. Ask a Shoanti is back giving questionable advice, and a crossword puzzle by Tom Baumbach rounds out the features! This volume of Wayfinder ends with an excerpt from Fat Jozka's Burnt Offerings stage play, illustrated with photos! That's a lot... yet I didn't even mention the fiction and poetry!

So what are you waiting for? Download Wayfinder #2 now and see how amazing Pathfinder fans really are!

Pathfinder Chronicles: Campaign Setting (OGL)

A Going Concern

Several Paizo Products are going... going... almost gone!

Our Price: $34.99

Every so often, messageboard regular yoda8myhead complains that I haven't updated him on which Paizo products are almost out of print so that he can purchase them. At last year's PaizoCon, Yoda had me traverse back to the office multiple times to pick up one item or another that, through casual conversation, he learned was almost sold out. So in order to help our poor Mr. Yoda—and you—keep a complete Paizo collection, I give you the Almost Gone list!

I've divided these nearly sold-out products into categories based on the number of copies remaining. While some might hang around for a few months, I expect that many will be gone much faster than that, so don't hesitate, or you may be looking on eBay to complete your Paizo collection!

They're so excited that they just can't wait to get it into the hands of gamers everywhere, so they've created a special bundle that brings you the Beta Playtest PDF now, plus a copy of the hardcover print edition when it's released later this year! This unique bundle works a bit differently than most products here at paizo.com. At checkout, you will immediately be charged the full bundle price, and you'll immediately gain access to the Beta PDF. When the finished PDF becomes available, you will automatically be given access to that edition, and when the final print edition becomes available in a few months, we'll ship it to you, charging the shipping fee only at that time.

Heroes of the Jade Oath takes the choices and flexibility of Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved and adds an immersive, fully researched, and instantly playable Oriental background. So kick karma in the butt and choose your own destiny with Lands of the Jade Oath—the largest setting for Arcana Evolved ever published. Heroes of the Jade Oath includes detailed information on the new setting Lands of the Jade Oath; new marvelous player races like Bakemono, Mandragoran, Qahngol, Shenxue, and Yueren elves and 11 other variants; evocative new character classes like Demon Hunter, Enlightened Scholar, Kensai, Kusa, 7 different Monks, 6 new totem warriors, 4 new witch types, and two new champion causes; the new Fung Shui skill and 42 pages of feats including two new feat types Ch’I and Unbound feats; optional Rules for Cinematic Combat, New Combat Rites, Zodiac Signs, Oaths of Power and Villain points; spellcaster options for Sutra Casters, New Spell Templates, and Ch’I; a Huge selection of weapons, armor, and alchemic items from the Far East; and much, much more.

Rite Publishing is celebrating this unique PDF/preorder launch by having a $0.99 Arcana Evolved PDF sale! Eight different PDFs are on sale until the end of the month!
