Is this even Pathfinder really?

***( )( )

It's supposed to be a Pathfinder comic... yet there's hardly any Pathfinder in it. One character from Golarion in 4 issues and the other 3 have very minor references.
This was basically just a promotional comic for their other properties.

Oooh, does this mean that the other 4 one-shots (Dejah Thoris, Reanimator, Swords of Sorrow, Vampirella) will also get collected in a volume later? (I missed the Humble Bundle)

Should there be a Paizo.com exclusive cover available for preorder too?

I asked the same question regarding an exclusive cover elsewhere in the messageboards but didn't get a reply. I have the other hardcover Pathfinder comic collections with Paizo exclusive covers. But I just purchased the regular Dynamite version of the hardcover Worldscape Volume 2, which went on sale November 28. The book is entertaining in parts, but not nearly to my taste as the other Pathfinder comics featuring the iconic heroes.

Volume 2 continues to be called "Pathfinder Worldscape" although only one of the four books has any Pathfinder content in it (Seltyiel).

I did participate in the recent Humble Bundle at the $25 level. I didn't want to purchase physical copies of the individual comics in Volume 3 or the miniatures. By the titles, the issues in Volume 3 (Dejah Thoris, Reanimator, Swords of Sorrow, Vampirella) look to have no Pathfinder content. But the list of characters in the wiki entry at

https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Worldscape:_Vampirella_One-Shot

include Seoni & Seltyiel, so some Pathfinder characters at least make an appearance in one issue of Worldscape Volume 3.

One more question:
Is there a difference in interior content between the standard and exclusive versions of the hardcovers?

Paizo Employee Franchise Manager

There is no difference in interior content between the general and Paizo-exclusive covers of the comic collections.

As for Pathfinder content within Worldscape issues, the entire Worldscape is itself a Pathfinder-linked demiplane, as it was created by the archmage Nex as a means of collecting the greatest champions across multiple worlds and realities with whom to besiege Absalom. So while no iconic characters appear in several of the Worldscape one-shots, there is still a tenuous connection to Golarion through the demiplane's backstory.

Hi Mark.

I'd like to buy both versions (if they exist) and I can't find a link to the Paizo version on the site. Has the practise of producing two covers been discontinued? (Or has there just been a delay in listing the alternate version)

I have the same question. I'd like to preorder, but I don't see the Paizo exclusive hardcover (which is what I've been collecting).

My understanding is that there will be a Paizo-exclusive cover of this volume as well, but I'm not the one dealing directly with Dynamite on any of this. I'll shoot Erik an email and direct him to this thread, and hopefully he can clear things up.

I just checked with our contact at Dynamite, and there was a shipping hangup. The copies we ordered are now on their way to Paizo and from here will ship out to subscribers and pre-orderers post haste. We only ordered the Paizo-exclusive cover of this issue, however. I've alerted the web store team and they're going to contact folks who pre-ordered this edition regarding their orders. A new product page for the Paizo-exclusive cover should be up soon.

I'm not sure what "ordered" means in this context - are you saying will NOT be selling the Dynamite cover at all in any point in the future?

Paizo Employee Franchise Manager

Correct. If you want the standard cover of this volume, you can order through the regular distribution channels at your favorite local comic or book store, or online at a retailer like amazon.com.

Any chance this decision could be reviewed? I’d prefer to order through you if I can (I don’t mind waiting).

Is there something unusual with this issue or is the new normal for compilations?
