PFS2 - where is the faction information hiding now?

I was playing a scenario (online, of course) and I wanted to look at my faction information.

So, I went to the PFS2 guide and, uh, couldn't find anything.

They're mentioned in the glossary but the link is a dead link.

Could some kind person please point me to where the information now is?

Oh, and possibly a link could be put in the guide to it? :-)

It's in the guide. In the World of Golarion section. Each faction has a brief description with a link that takes you to a longer write-up.

Sorry, the glossary is being revised right now. The version we had wound up having so many errors, it was worse than useless...

Man, we NEED the pdf version :-). Or the ability to search the documents somehow :-)!

In the spirit of constructive criticism, may I respectfully suggest that a clear mention of factions and a link be placed prominently in the Player section? It's a player facing thing and new players need to be made aware of it. A Newby may not even know that factions exist.

It is in before the adventure, in the sign in instructions.

Reputation is in after the adventure, and you are correct is missing a link.

As is Reputation in player awards. (I will try to fix that.)

One of the briefs was to make faction something where it was there if a player wanted to interact with it, but a player who wanted to ignore it could do so. So if a new player doesn't find out about it for a game or two, they still get reputation with the horizon hunters for those games, and the can stick with HH or branch out.

There was even a brief discussion about maybe having faction be a thing that didn't kick in until level 2.

Also, at least in both the 1-4 scenarios in season 3 that I have played, you interact with faction leaders who try to recruit you, so players will not be left in the dark long.

Back in the pre plague days, new players showed up at the store from time to time.

Some of them knew almost nothing about PFS and we told them what they needed to know. Frequently including offering them a pre-gen

Others had done a LOT of reading before showing up with a quite legal character. It is that latter player who I think could very easily miss the fact that factions even exist. Which is why I think the Guide should at least mention them.

But I might be wrong. I just did a Google search for Paizo organized play and the page (when it eventually loaded over a minute later) did mention factions.

The link to the guide takes you to the old page with a link to the new guide. I know it's not under your control but perhaps you could gently push Paizo to update that link to point directly to the new guide? (Why do I suspect you're sarcastically muttering something like "duh" right now as you've been sending out LOTS of emails to that effect? :-))
