Pretty and Pretty Useless, as Usual

**( )( )( )

Unsurprisingly, Paizo can't tell the difference between a local watering hole (as this is called) and a travelers' rest (as this clearly is meant to be).

The staff have no segregation by sex, and are either flopping into each other's beds all the time, or are far too few to run this massive establishment.

Drunks are constantly stumbling out, trampling & pissing on the woefully inadequate garden.

What might have been a realistically detached kitchen seems to instead be a smithy (admittedly useful for this travelers' inn---it's a shame the cart & wagon drivers will always be b~%&!ing about the tight squeeze getting into this place).

Dehydration is rampant, with the lack of rain barrels or a well.

Incredibly, the tables are accurate plank affairs, instead of those anachronistic round abominations they usually depict.

That said, the colors are attractive, and this is probably the least insipid rest stop yet created.

Looks great

This flip Matt looks fantastic. I appreciate the idea that they're getting creative and making bigger Matt but I actually have a holder that I made that this won't fit in because I leave mine unfolded. Probably won't buy the hard copy but I will definitely be buying the PDF maybe all shrink it down so it fits on a standard size Matt

Announced! Product image and description are not final and subject to change.

If we are Golarion fans, is this based on any particular tavern?

Is this part of the subscription?

I hope! With mini's of furniture matching the map, =)

This map certainly increased the size of portfolio I am looking for to function as a map case.

I too am asking as to whether or not this is the February entry for the Map Subscription?

Wondering why no one answers if it is part of the subscription? :)

I'm not too sure this is part of the sub. This is part of the normal Flip Mats line (all of which excluding multi-packs are in the sub as far as I can tell) and not Flip Mats Classics (all of which are not part of the sub). That being said, if this is indeed part of the sub that means we're receiving two Maps products in February 2016 since Pathfinder Map Pack: Urban Sites is the officially announced Feb 2016 sub product for Maps. If this is part of the sub, maybe this one is also supposed to be March's release?

Official clarification would be welcomed.

Sorry for the delay in getting the answer to you.

The "bigger" Flip-Mats will not automatically be part of the Pathfinder Maps subscription, but subscribers who preorder the bigger mats will receive a free PDF version of that mat when their subscription copy ships.

We'll get that listing updated soon.

Thank you.

Will the Pathfinder Maps subscribers get 20% off the pre-order of this map along with the free pdf like we did/do with the Classic maps?

Hmmm...interesting. Not sure what the point of this product is. Was this a response to Bigger Basic's rapid sales?

The appeal of Bigger Basic -- for myself, at least -- is the ability to accommodate larger pre-drawn maps from other sources. In the case of a pre-print, bigger or not, that utility does not exist.

How about Bigger Basic in a few other colors (white side/light green side)?

Curious to see what this ones theme will be, hopefully a bit different than the ones we have now.

I really hope that it's the Rusty Dragon Inn under that setting-neutral disguise!

You're gonna need a bigger tavern sign!

The "Seedy Tavern" and "Classic Tavern" flip mats are still in print -which makes the propability of this being "The Rusty Dragon Inn" which miniature version releases 4 weeks before this product a very good one.

Any chance of getting a preview of this soon?

That looks pretty good.

It is not the Rusty Dragon Inn or am i wrong?

One side is with roofs and the other without like in the Classics Village square isn't it?

Dark Archive

It's not the Rusty Dragon Inn but it looks cool.

I hope it lies flat on the table.

Can we get a preview image of one side at least?

Thx

Wow! This looks really disappointing for me. I already own the Country Inn Flip Mat and this is just a bigger version of that. I'm not saying this look bad, it just has no value for me. Plus, I was hopeful that this could have been the Rusty Dragon Inn to go along with the Pathfinder Battle release. Oh well. Maybe we'll get the Rusty Dragon Inn next year.

Damn, you are right.

To people who own the Country Inn this is too similar.
But as it is sold out this is a great opportunity for all others.

The Rust Dragon Inn flip-mat will most likely already come out this year.
Now that the set is out, measurements can be taken to design it.

Looking forward to the new Darklands map.

I just noticed this thanks to the blog... Is it too late to "pre-order" and get the subscriber incentives?

I'll send you an email to provide you with additional information.

Studying the screenshots of this so-called Bigger Tavern, to me it screams "Caravanserai".

Not many Pathfinder players probably know what a caravanserai is. But to those who know, this is the perfect Caravanserai. It is essentially an all-amenities-included resting outpost. It has everything the traveler needs. It even has a forge/smithy. Need repairs to your armor? It's available. Need new horseshoes for your steed? It's covered. Does your caravan need a large stable to provide shelter for your dozen horses/mules? No problem. Do you need a hostel that provides a nice "conference room" away from the gossip and spying ears of the pub? That room is available here.

I love it that this "Caravenserai" is also a walled (gated) compound.

P.S. — I already have the Country Inn, and this Bigger Tavern is definitely more spacious in terms of square footage. This is not a tavern at all. It's a gated outpost/compound.

You are right in almost every detail.

The only problem with this map is that most vehicles from the map packs "caravan" and "vehicles" won't fit through the too small gate.
Also there is not enough "parking space" in the courtyard.
Of course you could argue that they have to park outside, but i still think that this is an oversight that could have been easily avoided.

The smithy is cool though.

Where are the privies/restrooms? I know people don't usually RP using them, but so many buildings/maps without them kinda breaks the immersion.
