Magic and mystery! Oracles see deep into the fundamental secrets of the universe, and use their magical might to bring the future to pass in the present. The Oracle Class Deck accessory for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game allows players to bring these enigmatic spellcasters to any Base Set, including the demon-infested Wrath of the Righteous campaign!

The 109-card Oracle Class Deck contains three new characters—including a new version of the iconic oracle Alahazra—and both new and familiar allies, spells, items, and other boons to carry your oracle through an entire Adventure Path. This deck can also be used in the popular Pathfinder Society Adventure Card Guild organized play campaign.

4/5

My first response to the Oracle class deck characters was one disappointment. Their powers involve a lot of discarding from the top of the deck, which is not my favorite play mechanic. But then I decided that I was bound to be disappointed with the deck because Alahazra from Skull & Shackles was my favorite character ever. I decided to stop comparing and look at the Oracle deck for what it was.

Ramexes was my immediate first pick for a character. With powerful melee and decent divine, he looked like he played like class deck Kyra with some scouts and extra explores instead of heals.

Alahazra at first looks a bit too much like class deck Seoni, except needing to discard cards from the top of her deck instead of her hand to attack. But there are a lot of attack spells in the oracle deck, so she can set herself up to only need to discard from her deck in a pinch, with the aid of a helpful haversack. Her ability to scout extra cards when scouting couples well with the many scouting boons in the deck.

Grazzle's sacrificing cards from the top of his deck to heal others at any location is powerful but definitely lends itself to players with a risky play style.

The boons are fun and include many scouting cards and a few previews of what is to come in the Mummy's Mask set. I recommend this deck to anyone who likes to play less heal-y divine casters in PACG.

Ohmygod yes! I get to play Alahazra in OP!

does happy dance

I find it so amusing that the mockup (while not final) has Damiel as one of the characters. Liz must have snuck that in :)

I'm more interested in if the other three characters are the final line-up. Looks like what seems to be a Nagaji character, which I never really considered before but could actually make a solid beat-stick oracle. Maybe the other new character could even be a Changeling? I like how they've begun to use non-core race characters in the class decks (with the monk deck having a Tengu).

Scarab Sages

So, I'm calling it now, the other two Oracles are going to be a Troglodyte and a Tiefling. Troglodyte could alternately be a Nagaji with the Wolf-Scarred Face curse from BoA but I have a hard time seeing Paizo pulling from player companions for these. Just my two cents.

I see that this and the Barbarian class deck are listed as early February; are they both coming out at the same time?

Dark Archive

When can we expect a preview of the different characters? I know we got the Barbarian preview last week (which Ostog is the clear choice to play; just my 2cp) but I have been itching to get a look at this deck and the upcoming Witch deck.

Wait just a LIIIIIITTLE longer...

Really getting ticked off that all the new character decks have only three characters, and only two new ones. Feels subtly like getting less for your buck. Never been happy with all the extra blessings I end up paying for, since I don't use these for Society play.

@Waffle: You have to understand that they reduced the decks to 3 characters so that they could tailor more of the boons in the deck to those three characters. The older class decks pretty much all suffer from a lack of useful boons for at least one of the characters in the box. I personally am extremely glad that they switched to just three characters per deck.

Also, all of the characters in all of the Class Decks are brand new. Which is to say that the Class Deck version of Alahazra is markedly different from as the Alahazra in Skull & Shackles.

Every once in a while I remember this is coming out and I get SUPER excited.

Hey there

Now this has been released, approximately how long do you expect until the Character sheets are available on the website?

Thanks

It hasn't really been releaed yet, not even shipped to subscribers yet. Shipping will probably start tomorrow. I would not expect the sheets before the official street date, though, which is March 30.

Ahhh, excellent. Thanks for the info

Hey there

Will the Oracle Class Deck Character sheets be available on the website for download, this week?

Thanks

I'm anxiously awaiting the Oracle Character sheets as well.

I just contacted support about the deck list and character sheets.

The response is that they will be adding Oracle to the Character Sheet pdf "soon", and they don't have a date the deck list will be ready.
