Key monsters and NPCs from the Giantslayer Adventure Path come alive on your tabletop with the Giantslayer Pawn Collection, featuring more than 100 creature pawns for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game or any tabletop fantasy RPG! Printed on sturdy cardstock, each pawn presents a beautiful full-color image of a monster or an NPC from the Giantslayer campaign, including orcs, dragons, giants of all types, and dozens of unique pawns also suitable for representing player characters. The Giantslayer Pawn Collection, together with the creatures from the Pathfinder Pawns: Bestiary Box collections, provides pawns for nearly every Giantslayer encounter. Each cardstock pawn slots into a size-appropriate plastic base from any of the Bestiary Box collections, making the pawns easy to mix with traditional metal or plastic miniatures. With tons of distinct images, the Giantslayer Pawn Collection brings to life the enemies and allies from all six adventures of the Giantslayer Adventure Path.

  • Battle of Bloodmarch Hill
  • The Hill Giant's Pledge
  • Forge of the Giant God

Got it on sale for $8 Canadian

5/5

I don't know why, but my FLGS was having a clearance sale on a completely new product and I picked this up for around $8 after tax.

Artwork is exquisite, and perfectly aligned. Only problem is I'm running out of places to store my giant pawn collection. (I've got every pawn set released so far)

Announced for October!

Interesting $5 price bump. Is the line getting more expensive? Or will this one have an extra sheet or two to handle all the supersized baddies?

It might be size as you suggest. I can tell you there are very few enemies in Chapter Four that are not at least Large.

(There are a few though)

PLEASE NO MORE HILL GIANTS.
at this point I have more hill giants than goblins from the looks of it.

Alas, my poor wallet! :)

According to my email, it's across-the-board price hikes.

I wish this came out sooner, I am running the game now and wish I had more miniatures that matched.

@Edward the pawn collections usually come out after the last book is released.

I've seen price bumps across the boards.

MOAR PAWNZZZZ!!!!!

What size bases will need to be available for these pawns? I'm ordering the base set (10 Medium bases, 5 Large bases, and 2 Huge bases) and am wondering if that will be enough for what's in this box. Are there any larger bases that will be needed?

Can't say about 'enough' as that depends on how many you use during play.
Pawns didn't get bigger than huge before, I doubt that will change here.

Probably you should just get the core Bestiary Boxes 1-4. This pawn set will not have all of the pawns you need for the AP, only the ones unique to the AP. This product assumes you have the core sets to have close to every encounter covered. Each core set comes with more bases than you'll ever need, so buying bases a la carte won't be an issue.

I agree with Shaun. You'll need at least one Bestiary Box - most likely the first one. With that, you'll have enough bases.

I am wondering when the list of pawns is coming out?

Updated with final image, product description, and set list!

Jeez, why so many Giants :-p

Dark Archive

NOT ENOUGH GIANTS FOR THE AP!!!
This is by far the least useful set for an AP so far - it only makes sense for a few of the 42 mentioned specific NPCs (most of which can be replaced by other pawns).

In addition you´ll ABSOLUTELY need the:

-"Rise of the Runelords" Pawn Collection (1 Frost Giant, 1 Ettin, 1 Young Red Dragon, 3 Cloud Giants, 3 Storm Giants, 4 Trolls, 5 Hill Giants, 8 Stone Giants, 8 Ogres)

and the

"Monster Codex Box" (15 Fire Giants, 11 Frost Giants, 13 Ogres, 27 Orcs, 18 Trolls, 4 Winter Wolves, 1 Svathurim)

You can also use:

-"Reign of Winter" Pawn Collection (7 Frost Giants, 2 Winter Wolves, 1 Svathurim)

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

Oh gosh, what's that giant skeleton thing on the cover?

Dark Archive

This set contains 124 pawns:

-18 small
-28 medium
-60 large!
-18 huge

"The Giantslayer Pawn Collection, together with the creatures from the Pathfinder Pawns: Bestiary Box collections, provides pawns for nearly every Giantslayer encounter."

This is slightly false advertising... By buying this product and the pathfinder bestiary box(es) you will still end up with not enough Frost and Fire giants. As mentioned by Marco Massoudi, you definitely need the Out-of-print-yet-requested-by-many "Monster Codex Box" to get all the giants you need to run this adventure.
