“As the moon shines brightly in the night sky,
the Wee Beasties get ready for bed.
What kinds of things might Wee Beasties do
Before resting their Wee Beastie heads?”
Wee Beasties: Bedtime introduces children to classic RPG monsters like the owlbear, ettin, and dragon. Rhymes and vibrant, whimsical images detail the different activities the various creatures might do as they prepare for bed. The illustrations also include gaming related easter eggs that are fun for all ages; especially for tabletop gamers to share with their children.
Wee Beasties: Bedtime is available as an enhanced eBook (this is an eBook with narration), softcover , or hardcover. Printed copies include a copy of the eBook at no additional charge.
The enhanced eBook is narrated by Brian Lewis. (The Gamers: Dorkness Rising, The Gamers: Hands of Fate, JourneyQuest, Glitch)
I'm going to get this, buuuuuuuuuuu~t, it only shows a single price ($9.99) and doesn't indicate whether that price is for the hardcover, the PDF, softcover, or what-not.
EDIT: Pardon my friend self, he's a little slow. It's explicitly the PDF up top. Is the hardcover or softcover going to become available? Don't get me wrong, I'm going to purchase this one now, but I'm curious. Thanks!
I'd prefer to purchase the hardcover (and attendant PDF), if possible!
Yeah, I failed when uploading the product to indicate the different variations. I sent Liz an update, I just know she's swamped. Hardcover and softcover will both be available.
Tacticslion - the epub should work on iPad iBooks for audio (at least, it does on my iPad).
However... the last iPad system update looks like it broke that. Because we just discovered on my wife's updated iPad that the audio isn't working for her, but still does for me.
I'm working through the technical issue with that and will be updating it as soon as I figure out where the problem is. We have video proof of our son listening to it on my iPad. Darned Apple breaking things!
As soon as it updates to show the print versions, I'm buying this! I have children. My oldest and I enjoy painting minis and looking through Bestiaries together. It looks like this book will help bring the younger ones into the fold as well!
So, I'm still trying to get the narration working... so far, the only way that works is to have a visible button on the page which doesn't match any of the other graphics in the book... and that kind of breaks the point of the narrated easter eggs hidden in the book.
So, I'm searching for someone who can help me fix it since my attempts thus far have been unsuccessful.
