Here is my (Redelia's) character. I have to level her up once from the chronicle for part 2 of this game.
I have not played or GMed any parts of this before. I read over the third part briefly when I was trying to determine where you guys were, but remember very little.
Great. I'll get the intro posts up today (if I have time before my F2F game) or tomorrow, and then we can really get going once everyone is leveled and ready.
She has one ability that I want to make sure you're aware of, GM. She has Expanded Inspiration, so she can add her inspiration die to her perception results without using an inspiration point. Please assume that she uses it for all saves that you roll.
If you roll saves or any skill checks for us, I'm not sure what to tell you in terms of whether I'd spend an inspiration point on it. The rule says I have to decide whether to use it after rolling the check but before results are revealed.
I try to avoid rolling skill checks for PCs other than Perception, and I'll add 1d6 to your entry in my saved perception-rolling-block. Did you mean on all Perception checks? Or can you also add it to saves?
Perception it is added to without costing a point, so it is safe for you to always assume I use it there.
It costs two points to add it to saves, and I only get two saves a day. This makes it hard to predict if I would use inspiration on a save or not. I probably would not use it on reflex saves, since they're just damage.
I was also mentioning this in case there were any other skills you roll automatically, like some GMs do for sense motive. It sounds like you don't, though.

Got it. The saves may be tough, as sometimes I’ll post something like “Make a DC 13 Fort save or be fatigued.” I’ll try to be aware of your inspiration, though, and post things in a way where you have a chance to use it before you see the DC.
I think you're safe to assume that I usually won't use it on 'minor' saves. Times when I would think of using it would be fort saves that might be poison, like creature bites, or will saves that might be charm/dominate/compulsion kind of stuff.
To save me from searching them out, please go to slide 1 of the MAPS & HANDOUTS deck and fill in your initiative and perception modifiers into the blocks provided. Meiri, feel free to include a 1d6 in the perception block.

Taiaha Bugs:
Masterwork Taiaha will never show the martial d8 version.
Despite being a 1-handed piercing weapon, HL has it as 2-handed and thus doesn't work with things like Champion's finesse that specify 1-handed piercing.
(these first two I was told they would not fix as they would require too much work)
The BB code output and character sheet output are inconsistent (and both wrong) with the Serpent Runner Trait (BB Code output is incorrect adding +1 to hit when making a single strike as a 2-handed weapon instead of the primary strike, while the character sheet printout doesn't add to either attack forms.) This could be a problem with Serpent Runner or all double weapons, only found this one recently and haven't looked into it yet,
Yeah, I'm okay: just had a quadruple-whammy of things to deal with: a big crunch time at work, my wife preparing for the final exams for her degree, my 18-month old son being ill and my uncle, who I was close to, dying.
So, pretty overwhelming but also mostly temporary: the boy is better, the crunch is over, my wife has finished her degree and, well, time helps with grief.
I've read the thread and Dennis is doing a great job.
Although:
nobody explicitly stated that they were going to destroy the Demon's Bile at the goblin camp. So, you're all doomed now! :b
I'm definitely going to lurk and see how you guys go. I might even try GMing parts 2 and 3 again one day.
I'm getting ready for Origins, which starts tomorrow. I'm not sure how much time I'll have to post, or even if I'll have the energy to post, so please bot me if I'm holding things up. I will return on Sunday if I don't post before then.
I know the timing stinks, it's hard to bot someone who you haven't seen in action. I'm still trying to figure out who Meiri is.
In combat, she would be most likely to use her rapier, and she will gladly use her knowledge skills to help the team out.
No worries, I won't be too quick on the botting trigger, and we'll figure it out if needed. Besides, there's not going to be any combat. Just a nice, safe country home. :P
I'm sorry, guys, but I just can't do this game right now. It's real life stuff that I'd rather not get into. It's early enough that you should be able to find a replacement for full credit.
We seem to be bogging down a bit, so let's set up a general procedure for the rest of the floor. Something like 'every time we come to a door, Grel and Carson will perceive for traps, and if untrapped Harada will open it'. If you give me that and a general sense of which direction you want to go around the floor, I can move you from one room to the next a little more efficiently.
Hey folks. I leave for GenCon tonight, so I'm going to hit pause on this for a few days. I'll be back on Monday, and should be able to pick up the pace a bit then.
